10月18日，文化和旅游部部长胡和平应约同意大利文化部部长达里奥·弗朗切斯基尼举行视频对话。双方就进一步深化文化交流与合作、共同办好2022年中意文化和旅游年、推进二十国集团文化部长会议后续工作等交换了意见。

On October 18, Hu Heping, Minister of culture and tourism, held a video dialogue with Dario Franceschini, Minister of culture of Italy. The two sides exchanged views on further deepening cultural exchanges and cooperation, jointly hosting the Sino Italian year of culture and tourism in 2022, and promoting the follow-up work of the G20 conference of Ministers of culture.

胡和平表示，中国和意大利是东西方文明的杰出代表，是全面战略伙伴，两国关系始终保持良好发展，文化关系在其中占有重要地位。举办文化和旅游年是习近平主席和马塔雷拉总统着眼中意关系大局和长远发展作出的重要决定。不久前，习近平主席同意大利总理德拉吉通电话，就共同办好明年中意文化和旅游年活动达成重要共识，给两国文化合作带来新机遇。近年来，在双方文化主管部门和业界的共同努力下，中意文化合作高水平发展，在多个方面开创了国际文化交流合作的先河，成为中欧乃至东西方文明交流互鉴的典范。中国文化和旅游部愿与意方共同努力，坚持和弘扬两国友好传统，积极克服疫情影响，用好中意文化合作机制平台，办好2022年中意文化和旅游年，推动中意文化关系向更高水平、更深层次发展。

Hu Heping said that China and Italy are outstanding representatives of eastern and Western civilizations and comprehensive strategic partners. Bilateral relations have always maintained good development, in which cultural relations play an important role. The year of culture and tourism is an important decision made by President Xi Jinping and President Mattarella in the eyes of the overall and long-term development of Sino Italian relations. Not long ago, President Xi Jinping and the Italy prime minister, Della jitten, reached an important consensus on jointly organizing the activities of next year's Italian culture and tourism year, bringing new opportunities to cultural cooperation between the two countries. In recent years, with the joint efforts of the cultural authorities and industries of both sides, China Italy cultural cooperation has developed at a high level, creating a precedent for international cultural exchanges and cooperation in many aspects, and becoming a model for the exchange and mutual learning of civilizations between China, Europe and even the East and the West. The Ministry of culture and tourism of China is willing to work with Italy to adhere to and carry forward the friendly traditions of the two countries, actively overcome the impact of the epidemic, make good use of the Sino Italian cultural cooperation mechanism platform, run the Sino Italian year of culture and tourism in 2022, and promote the development of Sino Italian cultural relations to a higher level and a deeper level.

弗朗切斯基尼表示，意中两国文化交往源远流长，双方开展文化合作具有良好基础。2020年已经揭幕的意中文化和旅游年虽然在疫情冲击下暂停，但也为双方尝试以新思路、新模式、新平台举办各类活动创造了机遇。意方愿与中方保持密切沟通，积极规划和设计各项活动，重点通过网络平台开展文化交流，共同办好意中文化和旅游年。感谢中方对意大利作为轮值主席国举办二十国集团会议所给予的支持，希望意中作为文化大国能够在多边领域积极发挥影响力，凝聚起国际社会保护世界文化遗产的共识。

Francesco Gini said that the cultural exchanges between Italy and China have a long history, and the two sides have a good foundation for cultural cooperation. Although the Italian Chinese year of culture and tourism, which has been unveiled in 2020, has been suspended under the impact of the epidemic, it also creates opportunities for both sides to try to hold various activities with new ideas, new models and new platforms. Italy is willing to maintain close communication with China, actively plan and design various activities, focus on cultural exchanges through the network platform, and jointly host the Italian Chinese culture and tourism year. Thank China for its support to Italy as the rotating presidency of the G20, and hope that Italy and China, as cultural powers, can actively exert their influence in multilateral fields and gather the consensus of the international community on the protection of world cultural heritage.
