8月24日，第17届威尼斯国际建筑双年展中国国家馆展览开幕式在北京天桥艺术中心举办。文化和旅游部副部长张旭出席并致辞。中国驻意大利大使李军华与意大利威尼斯市长路易吉·布鲁尼亚诺、威尼斯双年展主席罗贝尔托·奇库托、意大利前副外长劳拉·芬卡托发来视频致辞。

张旭在致辞中表示，威尼斯双年展历史悠久，是当今世界上规模最大和最具影响力的艺术盛事之一，也是各国展示文化发展水平和艺术创造力的重要平台和窗口。中国自2005年起以国家馆形式参加威尼斯双年展，推出了一批又一批有代表性的中国艺术家和建筑师，向世界展示了根植中国传统文化、蕴含中国哲学思想、体现当代中国精神和价值追求的艺术语汇和优秀作品，以艺术为媒介，搭建起中外文化对话、交流、互鉴的平台。本届中国国家馆展览以“院儿——从最大到最小”为主题，在深入挖掘“院落”在中国文化中从居住空间到社群到城市基本单元的不同内涵基础上，展现中国的集居智慧和“院落”在当代建筑设计中的无限可能，对人类未来共同生活所呼唤的创新思维作出积极探索，既呼应了本届双年展“我们如何共同生活”的总主题，也体现了中国文化对人类社会共同面临的现实问题的思考、分析和解答。

Zhang Xu said in his speech that the Venice Biennale has a long history. It is one of the largest and most influential art events in the world. It is also an important platform and window for countries to show their cultural development level and artistic creativity. Since 2005, China has participated in the Venice Biennale in the form of a national pavilion, launched a batch of representative Chinese artists and architects, displayed to the world the art vocabulary and excellent works rooted in Chinese traditional culture, containing Chinese philosophy and reflecting contemporary Chinese spirit and value pursuit, and built a Sino foreign cultural dialogue, exchange Mutual learning platform. With the theme of "courtyard - from the largest to the smallest", this China National Pavilion exhibition shows China's collective wisdom and the infinite possibility of "courtyard" in contemporary architectural design, and actively explores the innovative thinking called for by human common life in the future, It not only echoes the general theme of this Biennale "how we live together", but also reflects the thinking, analysis and answers of Chinese culture to the practical problems faced by human society.

李军华表示，中意两国文化交流合作源远流长，在“一带一路”框架下不断推进更具特殊意义。威尼斯双年展作为中意文化合作机制的成员单位，也为此做出了积极贡献。受疫情影响，中意两国人民的正常交往受到较大影响，但在双方共同努力下，务实合作并未止步。相信中国馆的开幕将让更多的意大利人了解中国的建筑理念、产品，也会让更多的中国民众更好了解威尼斯双年展的魅力与魔力。

Li Junhua said that one belt, one road, one country, has a long history of cultural exchanges and cooperation. As a member of the Sino Italian cultural cooperation mechanism, the Venice Biennale has also made positive contributions to this end. Affected by the epidemic, the normal exchanges between the Chinese and Italian people have been greatly affected, but with the joint efforts of both sides, practical cooperation has not stopped. I believe that the opening of the China Pavilion will not only let more Italians understand China's architectural concepts and products, but also let more Chinese people better understand the charm and magic of the Venice Biennale.

布鲁尼亚诺表示，希望借此机会重申并巩固威尼斯与中国通过古丝绸之路建立起的友好关系，丝绸之路直到今天在经济、商业等活动方面依然有着标志性意义。今年中国馆主题“院儿——从最大到最小”，不仅是向“院儿”这个空间致礼，也呼应了威尼斯居民的生活特点。中国馆所展示的空间和理念与威尼斯有着诸多共性。威尼斯居民在狭窄的街巷、小广场共同生活，孕育出坚韧不拔的性格，并成为这座城市的象征。正是秉承这种精神，即使面对疫情威尼斯也坚持举办双年展。感谢中方不仅继续举办中国馆展览，还以如此隆重的方式举行开幕式。

The space and concept displayed in China Pavilion have many commonalities with Venice. Venetian residents live together in narrow streets and small squares, giving birth to perseverance and becoming the symbol of the city. It is in this spirit that Venice insists on holding the Biennale even in the face of the epidemic. Thank the Chinese side for not only continuing to host the China Pavilion exhibition, but also holding the opening ceremony in such a grand manner.

奇库托表示，本次开幕式证明了中国对威尼斯国际建筑双年展的重视。中国馆的主题彰显了中国人民的优秀传统，威尼斯由城市小广场、走廊、街巷组成的体系与中国馆所展示的主题非常相似。文化交流让我们两个拥有悠久文化传统、巨量文化遗产的国家走得更近，而我们相聚在威尼斯双年展也雄辩地向世界阐释，如何共同营造文化空间、拓展对话并促进相互理解。

Chicuto said that the opening ceremony proved that China attaches importance to the Venice International Architecture Biennale. The theme of the China Pavilion shows the excellent tradition of the Chinese people. The system composed of small urban squares, corridors and streets in Venice is very similar to the theme displayed by the China Pavilion. 随后中国国家馆策展人、清华大学建筑学院院长张利与参展建筑师代表崔愷、中国馆艺术指导吴洪亮、岳洁琼、赵鹏等围绕中国馆的策展理念、呈现方式、特色亮点等展开对谈交流，并与在威尼斯中国馆现场的都灵理工大学教授米凯利·博尼诺以视频连线形式进行了互动。张利介绍，本届中国国家馆以“院儿——从最大到最小”为主题，回应威尼斯双年展的主题“我们如何共同生活”，展览分为“共同理解I ——灵感与干预”“共同理解II——经典与诠释”“共同设计——我的院儿”“共同感受——听院儿”和“共同治愈——每个人的故事廊”五个部分，参展艺术家、学者和建筑师围绕主题进行传统的阐释与当代性构建，借助新型多媒体技术、计算机技术等进行组织和设计，力图通过近150件参展作品，为观众创造新鲜、独特，传统与现代、理念与实践交织的观展体验。

Zhang Li introduced that the current China National Pavilion takes "courtyard - from the largest to the smallest" as the theme and responds to the theme of the Venice Biennale "how do we live together", The exhibition is divided into five parts: "common understanding I - inspiration and intervention", "common understanding II - classics and interpretation", "common design - my courtyard", "common feeling - listening to the courtyard" and "common healing - everyone's story Gallery". The participating artists, scholars and architects carry out traditional interpretation and contemporary construction around the theme, with the help of new multimedia technology Organize and design with computer technology, and strive to create a fresh and unique exhibition experience for the audience through nearly 150 exhibition works, intertwined with tradition and modernity, concept and practice.

第17届威尼斯国际建筑双年展原定于2020年举办，受新冠肺炎疫情影响推迟至今年举行。中国国家馆展览由文化和旅游部主办、中国对外文化集团有限公司承办，展期将持续至11月21日。
