The British Arts Council released the "report on cyber culture in 2019". The results of the 2019 survey present a complex picture related to business models. Internet technology is more important now than in 2013, with 49% of respondents saying it is essential in 2019, compared with 34% in 2013. However, the proportion of enterprises that think that network technology is more important to business model has declined. 88% of the respondents thought that network technology was crucial to marketing, followed by preservation and archiving (74%), operation (74%), creation (58%), and distribution and Exhibition (50%).

22% of enterprises believe that network technology is having a significant impact on their revenue and profitability. However, there are still three-quarters of enterprises do not benefit from network technology. For example, less than half of enterprises sell tickets online, which has not changed much since 2013.


大型企业与小型企业有者明显的差异。小型企业报告网络技术对其收入产生的影响水平非常相似,2013年为48%,2019年为51%。相反,大型企业受影响较大的比例则大幅增长,从2013年的54%增长到2019年的83%。

There are obvious differences between large enterprises and small enterprises. Small businesses report that the impact of network technology on their revenue is very similar, 48% in 2013 and 51% in 2019. On the contrary, the proportion of large enterprises that are more affected has increased significantly, from 54% in 2013 to 83% in 2019.

2019年的调查结果表明,网络技术对受众发展目标的积极影响也没有太大变化。认为网络技术对接触更广泛的受众(现在为34%,2013年为32%)、更年轻的受众(现在为26%,与2013年持平)或现有受众进行更广泛互动(现在为46%,2013年为47%)方面产生重大影响的企业比例大致保持不变。在接触国际受众方面,网络技术的影响已经从2013年的33%降至现在的29%。

The survey results in 2019 show that the positive impact of network technology on audience development goals has not changed much. The proportion of enterprises that believe that network technology has a significant impact on reaching a wider audience (34% now, 32% in 2013), younger audience (26% now, the same as in 2013), or existing audience's more extensive interaction (46% now, 47% in 2013) remains roughly unchanged. In terms of reaching international audiences, the impact of network technology has dropped from 33% in 2013 to 29% now.


总体而言,研发行为呈下降趋势,同意用网络技术进行实验的机构比例从2014年的33%降至2019年的27%。

Overall, R & D activities are on the decline, with the proportion of institutions agreeing to experiment with network technology dropping from 33% in 2014 to 27% in 2019.
