11月23日，文化和旅游部部长胡和平会见尼泊尔驻华大使潘迪，就进一步深化两国在文化和旅游领域的交流与合作等议题交换意见。

On November 23, Minister of culture and tourism Hu Heping met with Nepalese ambassador to China pandi to exchange views on further deepening bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the field of culture and tourism.

胡和平表示，中国和尼泊尔是山水相连的友好邻邦，2019年习近平主席和班达里总统实现互访，将两国关系提升为面向发展与繁荣的世代友好的战略合作伙伴关系。文化和旅游合作是中尼关系的重要组成部分，近年来中国一直是尼泊尔第二大入境客源国。前不久召开的中共十九届五中全会对中国“十四五”时期经济社会发展作出了系统谋划和战略部署，强调要着力加强对外文化交流和多层次文明对话，这将为中尼两国加强文化和旅游领域合作提供新的契机。中方愿与尼方共同努力，落实好两国领导人达成的重要共识，进一步推进文化和旅游务实合作。下一步，中尼两国可在疫情防控背景下探索文化关系发展新模式，以旅游合作为抓手夯实两国友谊的民意基础，发挥好尼泊尔中国文化中心和中国驻加德满都旅游办事处的交流平台作用，加强双方在“一带一路”倡议、中国—南亚等框架下的合作。

The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee held recently made a systematic plan and strategic deployment for China's economic and social development during the "14th five year plan" period, emphasizing the need to strengthen cultural exchanges with foreign countries and multi-level dialogue among civilizations, which will provide new opportunities for China and Nepal to strengthen cooperation in the field of culture and tourism. China is willing to work with Nigeria to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and further promote practical cooperation in culture and tourism. Next, China and China one belt, one road, will explore new models of cultural relations in the context of epidemic prevention and control, and take tourism cooperation as a starting point to consolidate the public opinion foundation of friendship between the two countries, and play a good role in the exchange platform between Nepalese Chinese culture center and China's tourism office in Kathmandu, and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the framework of "one belt and one road" initiative and China South Asia.

潘迪表示，尼中两国具有互信、互谅、睦邻友好的悠久历史，尼泊尔高度重视对华关系，积极参与“一带一路”国际合作，高度赞赏中方面对疫情始终把人民群众生命安全和身体健康放在第一位的负责任态度以及在促进复工复产复业中所采取的有效措施。尼泊尔从中国的发展中受益，未来将继续与中国开展文化和旅游交流合作，促进两国民众互访，为双边关系发展发挥积极作用。
