11月10日，文化和旅游部部长胡和平会见日本驻华大使横井裕，就进一步深化两国在文化和旅游领域的交流与合作、继续发挥中日高级别人文交流磋商机制作用等内容进行会谈。

胡和平表示，过去的几年中，中日两国领导人保持密切交往，推动两国关系重回正轨并取得新的发展，就推动构建契合新时代的中日关系达成重要共识。中日两国文化交流历史源远流长，近年来更趋活跃，呈现出官民并举和多渠道、多形式的新局面；随着两国关系持续改善向好，双向旅游规模不断扩大，保持良好发展态势。今年疫情发生以来，双方围绕共同抗疫良好互动，守望相助，共克时艰，得到各界积极评价。中方愿与日方一道继续扎实推进文化和旅游务实合作，为进一步促进两国人民了解互信，夯实民意基础发挥积极作用。

Hu Heping said that in the past few years, leaders of China and Japan have maintained close contacts, pushed bilateral relations back on track and achieved new development, and reached important consensus on promoting the construction of Sino Japanese relations in line with the new era. The cultural exchanges between China and Japan have a long history, and have become more active in recent years, showing a new situation of simultaneous development of officials and people, multi-channel and multi-form; with the continuous improvement and improvement of the bilateral relations, the scale of two-way tourism has been expanding, and maintained a good development trend. Since the outbreak of this year's epidemic, the two sides have had a good interaction in fighting the epidemic together, keeping watch and helping each other to overcome the difficulties, which has received positive comments from all walks of life. China is willing to work with Japan to continue to solidly promote practical cooperation in culture and tourism, so as to play a positive role in further promoting mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples and consolidating the public opinion foundation.

横井裕表示，在40多年的外交生涯中曾多次来华工作，深刻感受到中国改革开放的成果和日新月异的发展。日中两国是近邻，文化和旅游交流是日中友好往来的重要组成部分，对增进两国人民相互理解和友好感情发挥着重要作用。日方高度重视日中文化和旅游交流与合作，感谢胡和平部长对日中文化和旅游合作的关心支持，日方将一如既往重视两国文化和旅游交流，继续为促进日中关系发展发挥积极作用。

Yokai said that in his diplomatic career of more than 40 years, he has worked in China many times and deeply felt the achievements of China's reform and opening up and the rapid development. Japan and China are close neighbors. Cultural and tourism exchanges are an important part of the friendly exchanges between Japan and China, and play an important role in enhancing mutual understanding and friendly feelings between the two peoples. 双方还就中日青少年交流、文化机构合作、以两国相继举办奥运会为契机开展文化体育交流等议题交换了意见。
