12月20日晚，由江苏省文化和旅游厅、江苏省人民政府外事办公室、悉尼中国文化中心共同主办的2021年澳大利亚“江苏文化和旅游年”闭幕式暨中澳新年音乐会在苏州成功举办。作为本次澳大利亚“江苏文化和旅游年”的压轴项目——中澳新年音乐会由江苏省苏州民族管弦乐团与澳大利亚维多利亚州墨尔本交响乐团采取线上线下结合的方式演绎，同时通过媒体客户端等进行全球直播，为两地观众献上了一场中西方艺术交流互鉴的音乐盛宴。

On the evening of December 20, the closing ceremony of Australia's "Jiangsu culture and tourism year" in 2021 and the China Australia New Year Concert jointly sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial Department of culture and tourism, the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's government and Sydney Chinese culture center were successfully held in Suzhou. As the finale of the "year of Jiangsu culture and tourism" in Australia, the China Australia New Year concert was performed online and offline by the Suzhou National Orchestra of Jiangsu Province and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra of Victoria, Australia. At the same time, it was broadcast worldwide through media clients, A musical feast of Chinese and Western art exchange and mutual learning was presented to the audiences of the two places.

2021年，“江苏文化和旅游年”活动为澳大利亚民众带来了丰富多彩、形式多样的线下线上展演活动，扩大了“水韵江苏”的知名度，也让当地民众体验到了独特的中国江南风情，成为全年中澳人文交流的亮点，进一步促进了中澳文化的交流与合作。
