9月17日，“敦行故远：故宫敦煌特展”在故宫博物院开幕。

On September 17, "traveling far: Dunhuang special exhibition of the Forbidden City" opened in the Forbidden City Museum.

本次展览由文化和旅游部、甘肃省人民政府主办，故宫博物院、敦煌研究院承办，是文化和旅游部、甘肃省人民政府落实习近平总书记在敦煌研究院座谈时的重要讲话精神的重要举措。

The exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of culture and tourism and the Gansu Provincial People's government. The the Imperial Palace Museum and the Dunhuang Research Institute are responsible for the important speech of the Ministry of culture and tourism and the Gansu Provincial People's Government in implementing the important speech of general secretary Xi Jinping at the Dunhuang Research Institute.

上世纪50年代，敦煌研究院曾在故宫午门举办展览。70年后的今天，故宫与敦煌再次聚首，两座文化丰碑，以其超越时空，融汇古今的独特魅力，让观众深刻感悟中华民族伟大的融合力、创造力和生命力。此次展览分为“丝路重华”“万象人间”“保护传承”三个单元，展出来自丝绸之路甘肃段的文物及故宫博物院院藏文物共188件。展品还包括敦煌壁画临本35件，复制彩塑6身，高保真数字化壁画复制品70余幅，还有仿制华盖、佛塔等辅助展品20余件。在午门西马道下临时展厅还同时展出敦煌莫高窟第285窟、第220窟和第320窟三个复制洞窟。让观众近距离体验作为中华文明千年华彩汇聚的两大代表、文化遗产保护研究及利用的两大基地——敦煌石窟与故宫的独特魅力。

In the 1950s, the Dunhuang Research Institute held an exhibition at the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City. Today, 70 years later, the Forbidden City and Dunhuang meet again. The two cultural monuments transcend time and space and integrate the unique charm of ancient and modern times, so that the audience can deeply understand the great integration, creativity and vitality of the Chinese nation. The exhibition is divided into three units: "valuing China on the Silk Road", "Vientiane world" and "protection and inheritance". A total of 188 cultural relics from the Gansu section of the Silk Road and the cultural relics collected by the National Palace Museum are displayed. The exhibits also include 35 copies of Dunhuang murals, 6 copies of color sculptures, more than 70 copies of high fidelity digital murals, and more than 20 auxiliary exhibits such as imitation Huagai and pagoda. In the temporary exhibition hall under Xima road at the Meridian Gate, three replica caves, cave 285, cave 220 and cave 320 of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, are also displayed. Let the audience have a close experience of the unique charm of Dunhuang Grottoes and the Forbidden City, which are the two representatives of the Millennium colorful gathering of Chinese civilization and the two bases for the protection, research and utilization of cultural heritage.

故宫博物院与敦煌研究院作为并蒂相契的文化守望者，共同见证了中国文物事业的不凡发展历程。展览第三单元“保护传承”部分，以珍贵档案、影像、文献及文物为载体，展现在党和国家的领导与关怀下，故宫博物院与敦煌研究院两大世界遗产保护管理机构在新中国成立前后不同阶段进行的文物保护研究与文化传承弘扬工作及取得的重要成绩。

The National Palace Museum and the Dunhuang Research Institute, as cultural watchers, have witnessed the extraordinary development of Chinese cultural relics. The "protection and inheritance" part of the third unit of the exhibition takes precious archives, images, documents and cultural relics as the carrier to show the cultural relics protection research, cultural inheritance and promotion work and important achievements made by the two world heritage protection and management institutions of the Forbidden City Museum and Dunhuang Research Institute at different stages before and after the founding of new China under the leadership and care of the party and the state.

展览期间，故宫博物院与敦煌研究院将在“数字故宫”“云游敦煌”小程序中推出特展专题栏目，通过官方网站、官方微博、官方微信、官方视频号等平台对此次展览进行多渠道多形式的传播。“故宫正青春”新华号、“故宫宣教”微信及视频号、“我要去故宫”快手号、“带你看故宫”抖音号，新华网平台展览电子刊，持续发布展览一手资讯，为疫情期间无法到场参观的观众，提供精彩丰富的线上展示服务。

本次展览由甘肃省博物馆、甘肃简牍博物馆、甘肃省文物考古研究所、中国文化遗产研究院、天水市博物馆、武威市博物馆、嘉峪关长城博物馆、敦煌市博物馆、山丹县路易艾黎纪念馆、灵台县博物馆、泾川县博物馆参与协办。

The exhibition is co organized by Gansu Provincial Museum, Gansu bamboo slips museum, Gansu Institute of cultural relics and archaeology, China Cultural Heritage Research Institute, Tianshui Museum, Wuwei Museum, Jiayuguan Great Wall Museum, Dunhuang Museum, Louis Aili Memorial Hall in Shandan County, Lingtai County Museum and Jingchuan County Museum.
