2022 年北京冬奥会将于 2 月 4 日星期五开幕，2 月 20 日星期日闭幕。本届冬奥会设 7 个大项，15 个分项，109 个小项。北京赛区承办所有的冰上项目；延庆赛区承办雪车、雪橇及高山滑雪项目；张家口赛区的崇礼区承办除雪车、雪橇及高山滑雪之外的所有雪上项目。冬奥会是展现中国形象，传播中国声音的重要窗口。

冰雪经济又被叫做白色经济，它是指利用冰雪开展相关旅游项目和运动项目，逐渐形成一条经济链。伴随着 2022 年冬奥会热度以及国家政策的大力支持，我国冰雪产业已经驶入快车道。2019 年，我国冰雪产业市场规模已经突破 5000 亿元。2020 年突如其来的疫情使得我国冰雪产业受到重创，市场规模也大幅下滑。不过，在国内疫情得到有效控制下，我国冰雪产业已经开始复苏。以冰雪旅游为例，据中国旅游研究院预测，2020/2021 冰雪季我国冰雪旅游业将迎来极大反弹，预计冰雪旅游人数将达到 3900 亿人次，收入规模将超 3900 亿元。
