陈持平，系医学教授，其本业是妇产科医师，游于医亦游于艺，60岁以后跨入艺术领域，一心向知名艺术家齐白石看齐，是艺术家当中表现相当出色之一的素人画家，亦为国际知名医学家及产前细胞遗传学诊断学者，在产前诊断镶嵌型染色体异常有重大发现，因而拯救许多无辜胎儿，在此方面的专业亦是独领风骚，因此在2019年曾经获得医疗奉献奖以表掦其人道主义精神。日前，陈持平(Chen Chi-Ping)入选美国斯坦福大学发布的"全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单"（World's Top 2% Scientists ）。

After the age of 60, he stepped into the art field and set his heart on keeping pace with the famous artist Qi Baishi. He is a plain painter who has performed quite well among the artists. He is also an international well-known physician and prenatal cytogenetic diagnostic scholar. He has made significant discoveries in prenatal diagnosis of mosaic chromosome abnormalities, Therefore, saving many innocent fetuses is also the leading profession in this field. Therefore, it won the medical dedication award in 2019 to show its humanitarian spirit. Recently, Chen Chi Ping was selected into the "world's top 2% scientists" released by Stanford University.

美国史丹佛大学团队发布全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单中马偕的陈持平医师以实力入选，"终身科学影响力排行榜(1960～2020)"中有1244名台湾学者上榜，排全球第19;"2020年度科学影响力排行榜"中有1120名台湾学者上榜，排全球第20。陈持平医师在产科及生殖的医学排名是281/66536约全球的百分之0.4。史丹佛大学团队以Scopus资料库为依据，基于引用次数、H因数、HM因数等综合指标，根据其生涯影响力和年度影响力，从近800万名科学家中遴选出世界排名前2%的科学家，并荣登"终身科学影响力排行榜"、"2020年度科学影响力排行榜"。

「此情可待成追忆 ，只是当时已惘然。」出自李商隐的诗词(锦瑟)。李商隐以自己的性格，为自己的一生写了(锦瑟)这首流传千古的诗词。
