20多年来，他带领中国书画创作基地书画家走出国门，为世界这个人类共同体服务。为联合国生态大会、政党大会、及多个大型国际会议创作生态书画，歌颂为人类生态事业做出成就的国家政要，在领奖大会上用国画作品分别奖励他们，受到大会好评。

在第二届国际生态大会上，孙泳新发言提出了“艺术拯救人类”的新思维、新理念、经过专家学者反复讨论，确认是人类发展正确的新导向。联合国国际生态生命安全科学院院委会办公室讨论决定当选院士。

由院长率团队并组织近20个国家的专家学者，2011年9月19日在北京华膳园举行隆重的颁发证书仪式，鲁萨科院长亲自为孙泳新颁发证书。（当时新华社发过此次事件的稿子）联合国秘书长潘基文对孙泳新的成就非常认可，并邀为他创作了《和为贵》国画作品，三年后又邀为其写《精气神》鼓励年岁高、社会事务烦重，把精神作为精神支柱。
