自从武汉发生传染性冠状病毒肺炎疫情后，于连成就天天关注国家抗击疫情的战况，积极配合政府社区的抗击疫情活动安排,还在所居住的社区当上了社区疫情防护楼长,每天早晚两次对本楼居住的三十八户居民走访宣传。告诉他们“现在我们国家遭遇了重大疫情,我们不是医护人员，不能亲临一线去支援他们抗击疫情，但我们管好自己，在疫情期间，讲究卫生,做好自我防护，不出门，不聚会,不信谣，不传谣，在家老老实实地呆着就是为国家抗击疫情出力做贡献了。”

于连成是个勤奋的画家，就在2019年的国庆节期间，他还带着他的学生团队去安微黄山写生,他的写生作品还没画完就被德国的游客订购。

Yu Liancheng is a hardworking painter. During the National Day in 2019, he took his student team to Huangshan in Anwei for sketching. His sketching works were ordered by German tourists before they were finished.

本来他是准备过完正月还要出去写生的，这次的疫情怕要对他的出行计划产生影响。
