The reporter recently learned from the official website of the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region that the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region welcomes the "cultural and tourism development plan for the Great Bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao" (hereinafter referred to as the "plan") jointly issued by the Ministry of culture and tourism, the office of the leading group for the construction of the Great Bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and the Guangdong provincial government, and expresses that the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will actively follow the guidance of the "plan" We will work with the Ministry of culture and tourism, the Department of culture and tourism of Guangdong Province and the cultural and tourism departments of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to build a world-class cultural and leisure Bay area.
A spokesman for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government said that the plan provides a guiding direction for the cultural and tourism development of Dawan District, helps to lead Dawan district to become a hub for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and a world-class tourism destination, and promotes the consolidation of Hong Kong's position as an international cultural metropolis and international tourism hub.
In terms of culture, the spokesman said that the measures proposed in the chapter "building a cultural Bay area together" in the plan will help further promote the development, exchange and interconnection of cultural and artistic performances and audience groups among cities in Dawan district. The release of the plan has provided a broader artistic and cultural performance market for Hong Kong's art and cultural circles in Dawan District, and promoted the improvement of their creative quality. Hong Kong will contribute to the goal of building a quality life circle suitable for living, working and traveling in Dawan district. At the same time, a number of world-class performance and art exhibition venues will be built in the West Kowloon Cultural District, aiming to enhance Hong Kong's status as an international cultural hub and provide strong support for the development of the cultural Bay area. In addition, the SAR government will continue to promote cultural exchanges among Hong Kong Youth in Dawan District, deepen their understanding of the profound history and cultural heritage of Dawan District, and create conditions for their future participation in Dawan district and national cultural development.
In terms of tourism, the spokesman pointed out that the SAR government fully supports a number of measures proposed in the chapter "building a leisure Bay Area" of the plan to promote the tourism development of Dawan District, attract more overseas tourists to visit Dawan District, promote the high-quality development of Dawan district's tourism industry, and build a world-wide tourist Bay area. Both the plan and the outline of development plan for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay area clearly support Hong Kong to become an international urban tourism hub and a demonstration core area of "one journey, many stops". After the outbreak, the SAR government will continue to make full use of Hong Kong's advantages as an international metropolis in Asia, making use of Hong Kong's convenient transportation resources and rich tourism resources to attract overseas tourists to carry out "one trip, multi stop" travel in Dawan district through Hong Kong.
