John Mayer is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist.

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on October 16, 1977, John Mayer's father, Richard, served as the principal of the central high school in Bridgeport, Connecticut, for several years, and was also the head of the Community Education Bureau; her mother, Margaret, was a junior high school English teacher. John Mayer is the second of the family's three sons.

Growing up in Fairfield, Connecticut, John Mayer grew up with pop music from music radio. When he was 13, a neighbor gave him a tape of Blues artist Stevie Ray Vaughan, his first experience with blues. Since then, John Mayer began to learn the guitar, and two years later he appeared in the local blues bar. In high school, he also formed a band called Villanova junction with several friends.

At the age of 19, John Mayer entered the Berkeley Conservatory of music in Boston, where his parents gave him $250 a month. But he soon got tired of studying there and began to study his own music to a greater extent. Soon after, he left school and, with the help of his friends, came to Atlanta to continue his music dream. John Mayer has joined the club of some songwriters, and his talent and singing level have been brought into full play here.

In 1999, John Mayer released his first EP, inside wants out. He sang most of the songs on the album. In 2000, he signed with Columbia Records. In 2001, the first studio album room for squares was released. In 2003, he won the 45th Grammy Award for best male pop singer for his song "your body is a wonderland"; in the same year, he released his second studio album "heavy things".

In 2005, "daugters" won the 47th Grammy Award for best male pop singer, and the song of the year award. In 2006, the third studio album "continuum" was officially released, which won the 49th Grammy Award for best pop album, and the album track "waiting on the world to change" won John Mayer the best male pop singer.

2018年5月10日，发行个人单曲《New Light》，由No I.D.和约翰·梅尔联合制作；10月，在音乐节上首次表演了慢摇歌曲《I Guess I Just Feel Like》。2019年2月，《I Guess I Just Feel Like》正式发行。

On May 10, 2018, he released his solo single new light, CO produced by no I.D. and John Mayer; in October, he performed the slow song "I guess I just feel like" at the music festival for the first time. In February 2019, I guess I just feel like was officially released.

2020年8月23日，在世界文联艺术家排行榜《每日一星》评选活动中荣获第一名。

On August 23, 2020, he won the first place in the selection activity of "one star of the day" of the World Federation of literary and art circles.
