1972年，文革末期，王晓红出生于安徽省六安市霍邱县，后来随姑姑定居舒城县。因为出生时正值桃花盛开，父亲将其闺名改为晓红。自小聪明伶俐，乖巧可人，喜爱歌唱，且歌喉婉转，音韵悠扬。

In 1972, at the end of the cultural revolution, Wang Xiaohong was born in Huoqiu County, Lu'an City, Anhui Province, and later settled in Shucheng county with her aunt. Because the peach blossom was in full bloom when he was born, his father changed the name of his daughter to Xiaohong. Since I was a child, I am smart and cute. I like singing. My voice is gentle and melodious.

外公是当年黄埔军校毕业生，能文能武；外婆是霍邱县城关林府大小姐。王母出生在那样的家庭，学识丰富，能歌善舞，是名副其实的世家小姐，非常注重对女儿的文化艺术教育。

My grandfather was a graduate of Huangpu Military Academy, who was good at culture and martial arts. My grandmother was the eldest miss of Linfu, Chengguan, Huoqiu County. Born in such a family, Wang Mu has rich knowledge and is good at singing and dancing. She is a real miss of her family and attaches great importance to the culture and art education of her daughter.

文革期间，王晓红爸妈是宣传队骨干，经常演京剧革命剧赚工分。王晓红在上学的同时，跟妈妈学唱黄梅戏。

During the cultural revolution, Wang Xiaohong's parents were the backbone of the propaganda team, often performing revolutionary Peking Opera to earn jobs. Wang Xiaohong learned to sing Huangmei Opera with her mother while she was at school.

王晓红的父亲思想开朗，他认为唱戏也没有什么不好。就是这样的家庭环境形成了王晓红善良、开朗、自由的性格。王晓红的父亲不反对王晓红唱黄梅戏，而且帮助王晓红答疑解惑。王晓红听说坐卧解歌石能够使不会唱歌的人唱的如同天籁，所以她便去解歌石那儿坐了一下午，也并没有觉得有何进步，然而他父亲告诉她那并不是什么神石，而是那块石头能将很多唱歌的艺人聚集到一起，从而能使艺人们相互切磋，相互交流。

Wang Xiaohong's father is open-minded, and he thinks there is nothing wrong with singing. It is such a family environment that forms Wang Xiaohong's kind, cheerful and free character. Wang Xiaohong's father did not object to Wang Xiaohong singing Huangmei Opera, and helped Wang Xiaohong answer questions and solve doubts. Wang Xiaohong heard that sitting and lying Jiege stone can make people who can't sing sing sound like nature, so she went to Jiege stone and sat there for an afternoon, and didn't feel any progress. However, his father told her that it wasn't a god stone, but that stone can gather many singing artists together, so that artists can learn from each other and communicate with each other.

自此，王晓红便也常去解歌石旁与其他有着共同兴趣爱好的人们畅所欲言。王晓红的伯父是一位保守派，在她看来女子应相夫教子，贤良淑德，做一个贤妻良母。所以她告诫弟弟不应该让王晓红如此放纵，失了本分。王老先生没有听从兄弟的话。

王晓红有一次从姑姑家出来后，看见路上有一个戏曲班组在表演，她在众人不知时，偷偷的走上舞台，然后进行表演。观众们都被她悠扬的歌声所吸引，一曲唱毕，又邀一曲，在唱了好几首之后，虽然众人都意犹未尽，但是王晓红却因为工作原因而不得不退场。拳师对其大加称赞，称其日后必定能带领黄梅戏走向全国。如此，王晓红的名声便也开始鹊起。

Wang Xiaohong once came out of her aunt's house and saw an opera group performing on the road. She secretly stepped onto the stage and performed when everyone did not know. The audience was attracted by her melodious singing. After singing one song, they invited another one. After singing several songs, although everyone was still interested, Wang Xiaohong had to leave because of work. The boxer praised him and said that he would surely lead Huangmei Opera to the whole country in the future. In this way, Wang Xiaohong's reputation began to rise.

姑姑告诉王晓红若要使黄梅戏像昆曲一样广为人知，就不应该让黄梅戏局限在儿女情长的缠绵婉约的爱情歌曲之中。成名之后，王晓红便把所有的心思都放在了组建班组之上，并积极参加各类演出活动。

My aunt told Wang Xiaohong that if Huangmei Opera is to be as well-known as Kunqu Opera, it should not be confined to the lingering and graceful love songs of children and girls. After becoming famous, Wang Xiaohong put all her thoughts on building a team and actively participated in all kinds of performance activities.

1991年参加抗洪救灾文艺义演小分队。

曾多次主持：戏曲进校园，敬老院义演，国庆文艺汇演等文艺节目。对歌曲、戏曲有不解之缘。对弘扬中国戏曲文化贡献突出。

He has presided over many times: drama into the campus, the old people's Hospital, National Day literature and art performances and other cultural programs. They have an indissoluble relationship with songs and operas. He has made outstanding contributions to the promotion of Chinese opera culture.

2020年3月加入世界文化艺术界联合会亚洲戏曲协会，担任常务理事。

In March 2020, he joined the Asian Opera Association of the World Federation of cultural and art circles and served as the executive director.
