沈鹏，1931年出生，江苏省江阴市人。

1950年起在《人民画报》社工作，曾任人民美术出版社编辑室副主任、总编室主任、副总编辑并兼任编审委员会常务副主任，享受国务院批准的政府特殊津贴、出版界专家待遇，1993年3月当选为第八届全国政协委员。沈鹏既是编辑出版专家，又是著名书法家、美术评论家及诗词作家，历任中国书法家协会常务理事、副主席，现为中国书法家协会主席。

Since 1950, he has worked in the people's pictorial. He once served as the deputy director of the editorial office, the director of the chief editorial office and the deputy chief editor of the people's fine arts publishing house, as well as the standing deputy director of the editorial and review committee. He enjoys the special government allowance and the treatment of publishing experts approved by the State Council. In March 1993, he was elected as a member of the eighth CPPCC National Committee. Shen Peng is not only an expert in editing and publishing, but also a famous calligrapher, art critic and poet writer. He has successively served as the executive director and vice chairman of China Calligrapher Association, and now he is the chairman of China Calligrapher Association.

1988年起任中华全国文学艺术界联合会全国委员，现副主席、中国美术家协会理论委员会副主任，应聘为中华炎黄文化研究理事会、北京大学艺术研究所顾问、中国书画函授大学教授、炎黄书画院副院长。

He has been a member of the all China Federation of literary and art circles since 1988. Now he is vice chairman and deputy director of the theoretical Committee of China Artists Association. He is employed as a consultant of the Chinese Yanhuang Culture Research Council, the Art Research Institute of Peking University, a professor of the Chinese calligraphy and painting correspondence university and vice president of Yanhuang calligraphy and Painting Institute.

沈鹏擅长行草兼及楷、隶书法字体，行草以帖派风格为主，参临汉魏碑刻，对米芾等宋代画家作品深有研究，曾率团出访新加坡、瑞典、日本和前苏联等国家。历年创作书法作品15000件以上，其中为图书报刊、展览题耑题贺以及题写匾额1000件以上。为人民大会堂、中南海、亚运会五洲大酒店等重要场所书写巨幅。其书法作品遍及亚、欧、美各大洲，刻于名胜古迹者有杭州、苏州、镇江、上海、南京、济南、郑州、峨嵋山、三峡、千山、崂山、贺兰山、海南、北京等地。书法作品等地。

Shen Peng is good at writing both in regular script and in official script. His style of writing is mainly in the style of calligraphy. He participated in the Han and Wei inscriptions and studied the works of Song Dynasty painters such as Mi Fu. He once led a group to visit Singapore, Sweden, Japan, the former Soviet Union and other countries. Over 15000 calligraphy works have been created over the years, including more than 1000 special congratulations and plaques for books, newspapers and exhibitions. For the Great Hall of the people, Zhongnanhai, Asian Games five continents Hotel and other important places to write large. Its calligraphy works are all over Asia, Europe and the United States. 书法作品已出版《当代书法家精品·沈鹏卷》、《沈鹏书法选》、《沈鹏书法作品集》（日本）、《沈鹏书白居易长恨歌、琵琶行》、《沈鹏书杜甫诗二十三首》、《沈鹏书归去来辞》、《行草书绝妙宋词》、《草书千字文》、《楷书千字文》、《岳阳楼记》等。

美术评论侧重于中国画、书法及通俗美术，曾为几十种画册及著名书画家个人专集撰写序跋，对中表年诗词创作500首以上，已出版有《沈鹏诗词选》（欧阳中石书写）、《三余吟草》，思路开阔，诗味浓郁。

Art review focuses on Chinese painting, calligraphy and popular art. It has written preface and postscript for dozens of kinds of picture albums and personal monographs of famous calligraphers and painters. 主持和手编的书刊达500种以上，其中有主持编辑出版的大型画册《故宫博物观》获国家图书奖，《中国美术全集.宋金元卷》获中国图书奖，（日本同朋舍出版，33册）、大型摄影集《苏联》、《北京》以及小学《写字》课本（12册）等。

More than 500 kinds of books and periodicals have been edited and edited by hand. 沈鹏曾担作北京大学、中央美院、首都师大等校博士生论文答辨委员、主席。为中外文化交流、合作出版、讲学以及举办书法展览曾多次访问日本、瑞典、原苏联、新加坡、法国、意大利、美国、韩国、马来西亚以及港、澳、台。书法作品遍及国内与亚、欧、美多地。

Shen Peng once served as a member and chairman of the doctoral dissertation committee of Peking University, Central Academy of fine arts and Capital Normal University. He has visited Japan, Sweden, the former Soviet Union, Singapore, France, Italy, the United States, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for many times for cultural exchanges, cooperative publishing, lectures and calligraphy exhibitions. Calligraphy works are all over China, Asia, Europe and the United States.

2020年6月26日，被评为世界文联“每日一星”评选活动的“道德风尚星”。
