  据法兰西学院文学院官方网站消息，法国汉学家谢和耐（Jacques Gernet）于2018年3月3日在布列塔尼的瓦纳（Vannes）去世。谢和耐（1921—2018）是法国著名的汉学家、历史学家、社会学家，法兰西学院名誉教授。

  1945—1947年，谢和耐在法国巴黎国立东方现代语言学院学习汉语。1948年毕业于高等实验学院。1949—1950年在当时设在越南河内的法兰西远东学院学习，后师从法国汉学权威戴密微（Paul Demiéville，1894—1979）教授。1957—1969年任教于巴黎大学文学院，1969—1975年任职于巴黎七大，1975—1992年在法国最高学府法兰西学院担任汉学教授，主持中国社会和文化史讲座。1975—1993年，他与荷兰大学汉学院前任院长许理和（Erich Ziircher）教授共同主编创刊于1890年的国际汉学杂志《通报》。谢和耐曾多次来华访问。

  谢和耐著述颇多，《中国社会史》《中国与基督教》《中国5—10世纪的寺院经济》《中国人的智慧》《蒙元入侵前夜的中国日常生活》等，均已有中译本，影响甚广。另著有《菏泽神会禅师语录》、《巴黎国立图书馆所藏伯希和敦煌汉文写本目录》第1卷（与吴其昱合作）等。
