戴吉阳生于六十年代中期，山东青岛人，幼年酷爱美术，八岁开始画连环画，从小打下了坚实的美术基础。七九年考取山东艺术学校，专修陶瓷艺术，师从崔子范、王林旭，后拜师陶瓷大师戴佳林、王锡良、王怀俊，学习传统陶瓷的绘制，后又拜师全国著名大师黄永玉、军旅画家李翔、郭石夫。现为中华国礼陶瓷艺术院副院长，专业从事陶瓷艺术工作。

Dai Jiyang was born in the mid-1960s in Qingdao, Shandong Province. He loved art when he was young. He began to draw comic books at the age of eight and laid a solid foundation in art since childhood. In 1979, he was admitted to Shandong art school and majored in ceramic art. He studied under Cui Zifan and Wang linxu. Later, he studied the painting of traditional ceramics under the guidance of ceramic masters Dai Jialin, Wang Xiliang and Wang Huaijun. Later, he studied under the guidance of national famous masters Huang Yongyu, military painters Li Xiang and Guo Shifu. Now he is the vice president of China Guoli ceramic art academy, specializing in ceramic art.
