浙江大学教授胡华丁，近日寄赠他的新著《华丁艺术稿丛》，全书约36万字，收入了他艺术文论60多篇。人民日报社原社长、总编辑邵华泽在该书扉页题词“追求卓越”。

“追求卓越”，是作者的座右铭。作者今年已九十岁高龄，自退休后已出版理论和艺术专著三十多本，共发表学术论文、时事杂文500多篇，艺术评论100多篇，是知名的学者和山水画家。其山水画师学黄宾虹，师从黄逸宾，画风浑厚华滋，得黄派山水神髓。已创作书画作品2000多幅，书法作品600多帧。著名美术家王伯敏教授生前称赞其“华丁先生以理求道，两者兼顾而贯通，成为当代的评论大家。”浙江财经大学教授黄学规誉其“用两支笔描绘世界”。2017年8月，浙江大学出版社出版《华丁文集》三卷本，作者在“我的笔缘”与“我的画缘”两文中，展述了他“用两支笔描绘世界”的胸襟与成就。

《华丁艺术稿丛》，与几年前作者先后出版的《华丁艺术评论集》和《华丁文存》是姐妹篇。主要辑录前两书付印后新写的、新发表的或往日漏辑的文论。涉及六类:理论文章、艺术评论、人物传记、教育实践、书刊评论、反馈文章。笔者撰写的评论华丁教授专著的三篇艺评《宾翁门下笔墨情深》《实证和诗情的完美结合》《品在画中情在画外》等，也收录其中。
