大学生艺术家的尴尬处境

夏季风认为,买年轻艺术家其实并不容易。画廊要通过各种渠道了解、选择有巨大潜力的年轻艺术家,还要进行长时间跟踪。同时,他也为大家揭秘,为什么对于年轻艺术家来说,光有才华是不够的?为什么毕业展上一件好作品并不能完全说明这位艺术家很优秀?为什么1980年代好多获得大奖的年轻艺术家日后都不见了?

今年,蜂巢将推出一个针对80后的艺术家群展。夏季风记得,2011年蜂巢曾推出过一个针对70后艺术家的群展,当时的作品价位也不是很高。现在回过头看,当年这个展览就显得特别重要,参展画家都已经成为当下中青年艺术家里的重要代表了。

很多人问,大学生的作品能买吗?夏季风回答,当然能买,但是大多数大学生可能在毕业后就会离开艺术创作道路。在毕业展上买的学生作品,除非你是以艺术赞助人的角度无偿付出,如果出于投资角度,99%会买瞎掉,因为年轻艺术家要成名成家难度实在太大。从投资角度看,要投资相对有成功可能性、成熟度比较高的艺术家才合理。

但是很多人也会说,大学生作品敢买,是因为价格便宜。但是夏季风表示,如果在经济回报上希望很渺茫的话,也是一种失败的投资。

夏季风认为,没有所谓老艺术家和年轻艺术家之分,同样也没有男艺术家、女艺术家之分,艺术只有好坏之分。
