事实上，近两年发表过与新疆棉花“切割”言论的外国企业还有不少。其中包括BCI成员巴宝莉、阿迪达斯、耐克、新百伦等。而H&M更是早在去年9月就曾声明终止与中国纺纱行业巨头华孚公司的“非直接业务往来”，理由是该厂涉嫌雇用新疆少数族裔“强迫劳动”。日本共同社今年2月报道称，优衣库、无印良品等12家日本公司拟与“已确认在中国新疆维吾尔自治区参与强迫劳动的中国公司”暂停交易。
