胡和平要求，要准确把握中央关于巡视工作部署要求，推动党组巡视工作上水平、见实效。要把握巡视重点，聚焦被巡视单位职责职能和主责主业，精准发现问题；要强化成果运用，压实“两个责任”，加强督促检查，推动巡视整改落地落实，督促做好巡视“后半篇文章”；要把巡视工作纳入监督体系，与抓好日常监督结合起来，与深化改革、完善制度结合起来，与开展主题教育、专项整治等结合起来，构建不敢腐、不能腐、不想腐一体推进工作格局。在巡视工作实际中，要加强统筹领导，做好组织协调，不断完善巡视制度体系，严格巡视工作队伍管理，确保本轮部党组巡视工作扎实推进、取得实效。

文化和旅游部党组本轮巡视将派出5个巡视组，于2020年11月至2021年2月，对中国国家博物馆、中央文化和旅游管理干部学院、中国歌剧舞剧院、中国儿童艺术剧院、中国美术馆、文化和旅游部清史纂修与研究中心、中外文化交流中心、文化和旅游部海外文化设施建设管理中心、梅兰芳纪念馆、中国旅游出版社有限公司等10家直属单位开展常规巡视，并对被巡视单位落实意识形态工作责任制和选人用人工作情况进行专项检查。
