1994年2月23日出生于美国佐治亚州的罗克代尔郡康佑斯，父亲史蒂夫·J·范宁是职业棒球选手，曾在圣路易红雀队小联盟打球；母亲乔伊是网球选手，外公里克·艾林顿是橄榄球员，阿姨吉尔·艾林顿是ESPN的记者，妹妹艾丽·范宁则同样是一名演员。
