1987年8月17日，李岚出生于湖南湘潭，一座因为因盛产湘莲而别称“莲城”的荆楚名城，又称“潭城”。湘潭从南朝开始建县，距今已有1500多年，是湖湘文化的重要发祥地、中国红色文化的摇篮，有“小南京”、“金湘潭”的美誉。
