考试分数高不是终点 如何跨越语言关

留学之前，大部分学子都经历了雅思、托福考试的语言关，但是考高分并不等同于在国外留学时不存在语言难题。

适应“全英文授课”不易

“在国内时，一直觉得自己的英文水平还不错，但是出国之后却发现适应全英文的学习环境并没有那么容易。”刚刚在英国获得硕士学位的小茗（化名）表示，上课时老师的语速较快，加上其中有很多专业词汇，一堂课下来实际上能跟上的部分非常有限。

在美国读书的吴航（化名）表示，虽然日常交流和上课的时候，语言带来的问题并不大，但是在尝试与美国人交朋友以及在求职面试和从事专业性的工作中，语言问题确实存在。

语言障碍并非只出现在刚到国外的学生身上。从高中起就在加拿大就读的杨烁（化名）谈到，虽然在国外已经很多年了，但是英语能力始终和当地同学存在一定差距。

目前已经在美国找到一份财经记者工作的邵通（化名）也说，即使在美国学习、工作多年，语言问题仍然是一道坎儿。

对于一些在非英语国家就读的学生，语言带来的问题就更加明显。在法国就读的宋正铎在去法国之前只学习了半年的法语，虽然平时的沟通交流问题不大，但是在写作方面却遇到了很大困难。“考试时写论文和上课时记笔记对我来说挑战很大，很多东西明明知道意思，但是就是写不出来。”

生活中也会闹笑话

在日常生活之中语言带来的隔阂也会存在。最常见的就是一些学子到国外餐厅点餐时，由于看不懂菜单上的菜名，经常会闹出一些笑话，与服务员沟通的时候，也只能用“这个”“那个”来代替菜名。

平时交流中，由于美国人的语速较快或者在英语之中会夹杂一些口音和方言，对听者来说，理解难度加大。而且在和外国人交流的过程中，有时候不太理解对方的笑话或者隐喻，有时即使心里明白，但用英语表述就会出现卡壳，这些状况都造成了交流过程中的尴尬，也让很多中国学生在与外国人交流时显得没有自信。其实，处在非母语环境中，一些小错误或者小尴尬在所难免，要端正心态。

多说多练才能提高

因语言带来的问题，留学生们也在努力克服。“我采用的方法比较‘笨’。”小茗告诉笔者，为了跟上老师讲课的节奏，她会把每节课都全程录音，并在课后花几个小时去钻研。虽然花费很多时间，但这样做可以让她理解每节课的内容。

而吴航则抓住一切机会锻炼口语，比如在国外打车时，他会主动和司机攀谈，也会在上课时争取发言机会。在课后，他还经常主动和教授聊天。“提高英语水平的方法只有多说多练，如果到了国外都抓不住提升的机会，那就只能怪自己了。”吴航说。

也有同学表示，虽然刚到国外在语言方面会遇到一些不适应的情况，但是在英语环境的熏陶之下，这种不适应会很快得到改善，学子们无需为此忧虑过多。

面对语言问题，除了在国外积极适应之外，留学之前做足准备工作也会有备无患。很多在国内注重英语训练的同学，到国外后在交流时会更有信心，适应新的学习环境也更快。
