士林地检署认为，依照帐户汇款明细，双方资金往来复杂，而苏女只交代部分款项，未曾提及其中多笔资金往来，认定苏女应有隐瞒，且即使真如苏女所述，林男未依约将所得分配给苏女，仍属民事纠纷，应循民事途径解决，因此处分不起诉。

事后，许父反控告苏女及爆料周刊撰稿记者等人妨害名誉，台北地检署调查后，发现苏爱珠所述的一屋二卖等内容并非事实，因此依妨害名誉罪将其起诉，至于撰稿记者等人则罪嫌不足不起诉。
