人民网北京6月12日电 (记者 郝孟佳)11日,启德教育在京发布《中国学生低龄留学白皮书——高中篇》。调查显示,在留学前即拥有留学目的地国探访经历的学生比例达到83.35%,有42.61%的学生表示是由于出访确认了留学目的地,30.15%的学生表示加深了对当地教育的认识。
高中留学原因:接受优质教育,拓宽国际视野
调查显示,想要获得更好的教育(54.63%)、想要获得国外高中的学习体验(45.77%)、国内学习压力大承受不住(28.83%)、受到其他同学影响、想要进入更好的大学是学生想要出国读高中的五大动因。
相比之下,家长们则更看重孩子是否能够“快乐学习”,调研数据显示超过半数的家长认为孩子出国读高中能够更快乐地学习,摆脱应试的压力,能够更专注于自己感兴趣的科目。此外,“出国读高中有更大几率进入外国名校”(42.27%)、“孩子的强烈要求,尊重孩子的选择”(27.84%)、“不希望孩子参加高考”(12.37%)、“方便未来移民”(11.34%)等也是家长们选择送孩子出国读高中的原因。
家长在为子女选择高中留学国家的决策因素中,安全性被列为第一考虑因素。72.16%的家长在考虑留学国家时,都表示会考虑该国安全性;排在第二位的是“中学教育体制”(47.42%),而学费(42.27%)、文化氛围(36.08%)、就业前景(19.59%)以及有亲戚朋友在那边方便照顾(13.40%)也是家长选择留学国家的重要原因。

调查数据显示,中国学生出国读高中,美国(35.89%)、加拿大(21.21%)、澳大利亚(14.87%)、英国(14%)仍为最主要的目的地,四国占比合计达到86%,而新西兰(3.19%)、新加坡(2.04%)、德国(1.63%)、日本(1.03%)也是中国学生高中留学的热门选择。
美国和英国强调精英式教育,如美国的寄宿中学菲利普斯安多福、英国的伊顿公学等,申请难度都比较大。申请者不仅需要具备十分过硬的学习和学术能力,包括平时成绩、各项英语考试成绩以及竞赛或科研等之外,还需要具备非常优秀的软实力,比如领导力、社会责任感,甚至家庭背景、校友资源等等。
相对美英而言,加拿大和澳洲的公立教育体系对国际学生更加友好,且加拿大和澳洲吸引移民的国策也增加了两国教育的魅力。据不完全统计,去加拿大读高中的中国学生中约有一半左右会选择公立中学,而在澳洲这个比例更是高达80%以上。除了公立中学,加拿大和澳洲也有不少私立学校,以加拿大为例,国际寄宿中学也逐渐受到中国家庭的认可和青睐,这类学校比较关注学生成绩及个人发展,在课程设置、学业辅导以及生活指导等各个方面都更加贴近国际学生的情况和需求,升读名校的成功率也相对较高。
留学费用方面,美国、英国中学学费最贵,一年的学费平均在15-30万元人民币,加拿大、澳大利亚学费跨度最大,加拿大以及澳大利亚公立高中费用较低,平均学费7万元左右,加拿大贵族中学费用(学费+生活费)最贵的会达到30-40万元人民币/年。欧洲国家的中学费用差异不小,德国、荷兰的学费和生活费每年需要20-30万元人民币,瑞士接受国际学生以私立寄宿制高中为主,学费和生活费每年需要45万元人民币以上。费用相对较低的是亚洲国家的中学,如日本高中每年学费和生活费在9-13万元人民币,新加坡高中每年需要10-21万元人民币。
跨文化适应:高中生适应程度好于本科生,海外最大支持来自家人
对于出国读高中的学生来说,15岁左右就要离家到海外学习,对于家庭的依赖感比本科及研究生出国的孩子更强。调查显示,意向出国读高中的学生有86.34%表示希望家长陪读,而64.95%的家长也表示,在条件允许的情况下,希望能到海外陪读,与孩子一起完成高中阶段的学习。
针对意向出国读高中的学生及家长调查数据显示,家长认为孩子在海外最能获得的协助渠道是由国内机构提供的海外服务(38.14%),其次是来自孩子所在的学校教务人员(29.9%),认为家长最能够为孩子提供支持占比14.43%。这一结果与学生反馈有显著差异,意向留学生认为自己在海外能够获得的最大的社会支持来自于“身边的中国朋友”(28.31%),其次是来自“国内家长及其他亲戚”(24.43%),第三位是来自“身边的外国朋友”(20.50%)。而启德教育对海外高中留学生的调研数据显示,学生表示实际获得最大的支持还是来自家人(3.17分,满分4分),其次是来自教学教务人员的支持(2.81分),留学服务机构以及中国朋友的支持得分一致,达到2.62分,而非中国朋友的支持得分最低,仅为2.53分。
启德教育建议,意向让孩子高中就留学的家庭,家长应该至少提前一年到一年半就开始准备,因为学校学位有限,有些热门学校甚至需要提前一年报名。此外,绝大多数高中留学生都会继续在国外升学,家长在做预算的时候,除考虑学生在高中期间费用,还需要将未来本科甚至研究生的学费生活费考虑进去。出国前,家长也应该有意识地锻炼孩子的自我管理能力,包括生活自理、时间管理、学习管理和健康管理。
据悉,此次发布的与高中留学相关的数据包含了各国官方教育机构发布的政策信息,启德近五年的自有客户数据,以及6189份境内外学生及家长调查问卷和862份境外问卷。
