越南嘥剧艺术就是“中国戏剧的越南版”

    越南有四大剧种，嘥剧、嘲剧、改良剧、话剧，从戏曲概念来讲主要包括嘥剧、嘲剧两大类以及由传统嘥剧发展而来、目前广泛流行的改良剧。

    嘥剧[sāi]：发展比较久远，推测是中国13世纪元代杂剧为基础，改良后吸收了越南流行歌曲后行程的。唱词和说白全用越汉音。唱腔缠绵悱恻，舞蹈性较强，所演多为忠臣孝子等故事。

    1918年后，改良剧风行全国，从剧为求生存请来一些中国剧团，同台演出以《三国》、《水浒》、《征东征西》等中国小说为题材的剧目。两国演员虽各用自己的母语演唱，却能配合默契，相得益彰。习惯称从剧为“中国嘥剧”。

    1961年2、3月间，中国著名粤剧艺术家马师曾先生随团访问越南时，看到越南的嘥剧与中国戏剧有很多相似的地方，认为是中国戏剧的越南版。
