甘肃省榆中县人·1944年生。幼时受其祖父影响,喜弄笔墨。1959年迁居南京。1972年先后拜萧娴、林散之、高二适三位书坛大家为师,倾心书艺。1992年于南京、甘肃等地举办个人书展,引起广泛关注:称书艺“博大精深”,“是当代中年书法家中最具实力的人物之一”。
Born in 1944 in Yuzhong County, Gansu Province. Influenced by his grandfather when he was young, he liked to use pen and ink. He moved to Nanjing in 1959. In 1972, he took Xiao Xian, Lin Sanzhi and Gao Ershi as his teachers and devoted himself to calligraphy. In 1992, he held a personal book exhibition in Nanjing, Gansu and other places, which attracted widespread attention: he called the calligraphy "broad and profound" and "one of the most powerful figures among Contemporary Middle-aged calligraphers".
桑作楷,1944年生,甘肃省榆中人。幼时受祖父影响,喜弄笔墨。自幼喜爱书法。1959年迁居南京。七十年代初,先后拜萧娴、林散之、高二适三位先生为师,倾心书艺。作品曾参加全国第一、二届中青年书法篆刻家作品展,全国第三、四届书法篆刻展和日本“中国现代书画家作品展”。善行、草、隶、篆,尤情草书,被认为是“当代中国书法家中最具实力的人物之一”。获南京市人民政府文学艺术奖。现为国家一级美术师,中国书法家协会培训中心特聘教授,江苏省书法家协会创作委员会委员,中国书法家协会会员,南京市书法家协会副主席,南京市政协委员。书法诸体兼擅,尤精草书。学术上提出了书法创作“四要”(笔要园、气要足、势要全、情要真)、“四美”(文学抒情美、音乐旋律美、绘画虚实美、体育抗争美)的原则。上世纪80年代,首倡林散之先生为“当代草圣”,并提出林、胡、高、萧为“金陵四家”的学说,得到学术界的广泛认同。后向浦口地方领导提议建设金陵四家纪念馆,求雨山文化名人纪念馆于一九九二至二〇〇四年先后建成。应江苏美术出版社之邀,编辑出版了《武中奇书法选集》(1985年6月)、《林散之书法选集》(1985年12月)、《高二适书法选集》(1987年2月)、《胡小石书法选集》(1988年11月)、《萧娴书法选集》(1991年11月)、《尉天池书法选集》(南京出版社)。俞律先生(曾任南京市作协副主席、秘书长,南京市文联研究室研究员)爰赋一绝,用赞厥功——立雪程门问六书,兔毫犀角觅真如。三师堂上三更月,曾照斯人辨鲁鱼。
Sang ZuoKai, born in 1944 in Yuzhong, Gansu Province. Influenced by his grandfather when he was young, he liked to use pen and ink. I have loved calligraphy since childhood. He moved to Nanjing in 1959. In the early 1970s, he worshipped Xiao Xian, Lin Sanzhi and Gao Ershi as his teachers and fell in love with calligraphy. His works have participated in the first and second national young and middle-aged calligraphy and seal cutting artists' works exhibition, the third and fourth national calligraphy and seal cutting exhibitions and the "Chinese modern calligraphers and painters' Works Exhibition" in Japan. Shanxing, Cao, Li and Zhuan, especially qingcursive script, are considered to be "one of the most powerful figures in Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers". Won the literature and Art Award of Nanjing Municipal People's government. Now he is a national first-class artist, a distinguished professor of the training center of China Calligrapher Association, a member of the creative Committee of Jiangsu Calligrapher Association, a member of China Calligrapher Association, a vice chairman of Nanjing Calligrapher Association and a member of Nanjing CPPCC. He is good at calligraphy, especially cursive. Academically, it puts forward the principles of "four essentials" (pen should be garden, Qi should be sufficient, potential should be complete and emotion should be true) and "Four Beauties" (Literary lyric beauty, music melody beauty, painting virtual and real beauty and sports resistance beauty). In the 1980s, he initiated Mr. Lin Sanzhi as the "contemporary grass sage" and put forward the theory that Lin, Hu, Gao and Xiao are the "four schools of Jinling", which has been widely recognized by the academic community. Later, he proposed to Pukou local leaders to build four memorial halls in Jinling, and asked Yushan cultural celebrity memorial hall to be completed successively from 1992 to 2004. At the invitation of Jiangsu fine arts publishing house, he edited and published selected works of Wuzhongqi calligraphy (June 1985), selected works of Lin Sanzhi calligraphy (December 1985), selected works of Gao Ershi calligraphy (February 1987), selected works of Hu Xiaoshi calligraphy (November 1988), selected works of Xiao Xian calligraphy (November 1991) and selected works of weitianchi calligraphy (Nanjing Publishing House). Mr. Yu Lu (former vice chairman and Secretary General of Nanjing writers' Association and researcher of Nanjing Federation of literary and art circles research office) therefore endowed a unique skill to praise Jue Gong - Lixue Chengmen asked six books, rabbit hair and rhinoceros horn to find the truth. In the third watch month of the third division hall, he once distinguished Lu fish according to Si people.
他的书法深蕴萧娴之气度、高二适之气势、林散之之气韵。融会贯通,出以自家面目。先生作字讲究指功、腕功和肘功,强调指、腕、肘、腰四力并用,一管千钧,力透纸背。故其作小字入木三分、作大字雄强奇逸,笔力之深厚,非一般书家所能企及。他的草书多以加健长锋羊毫,以虚墨挥洒,正侧并用,绞转相应,擒纵有度,真力弥漫,风神超然,将墨之性能发挥到了神幻的境地,可谓极尽变化。先生集南北之灵气,以云水之襟怀,历五十载之磨砺,踏前人之所未及,使书气面目独具。出版有《桑作楷书法集》、《桑作楷》。2011年中国美术出版社出版《当代书法四大名家艺术研究》(桑作楷、朱关田、聂成文、申万胜书法集)。

Mr. Zhang integrates the aura of the north and the south. With the mind of clouds and water, he has been honed for 50 years and stepped on what his predecessors did not reach, making his book unique. He has published the collection of regular script of Sang Zuo and the collection of regular script of Sang Zuo. In 2011, China Fine Arts Publishing House published "Research on the art of four famous contemporary calligraphers" (calligraphy collection of Sang ZuoKai, Zhu guantian, Nie Chengwen and Shen Wansheng).
作楷先生功力极深。我在古吴轩出版的《林散之笔谈书法》一书中看到,林老在谈及学书门径时说:“怀素在木板上练字,把木板写穿了,可见苦练的程度。也因为这样,千百年不倒……”,“真学问是苦练出来的,做不得假……”林老的耳提面命,使他受益匪浅,由唐碑入手,颜、柳、褚、虞无不用心临写,后学六朝碑版,继学二王,再进入魏汉,由生到熟,废纸三千,退笔成冢,终究百炼钢化为绕指柔,正草篆隶无所不能。作楷先生秉承师训,非常讲究执笔,大字小字无不悬腕悬肘,讲究指功、腕功和肘功。余观作楷先生作书,意在笔先,字居心后,虚中有力,重按轻提,蹲锋入纸,腰间发力,可谓指、腕、肘、腰四力并用,汇聚一点,下笔千钧,力透纸背,势如破竹。故其作小字入木三分,作大字雄强奇逸。先生笔下功力之深厚,非当今一般书家可以企及。

From birth to maturity, there were three thousand waste papers, and the pen was returned into a tomb. After all, it was tempered into soft fingers, and the official seal script of the positive grass was omnipotent. Adhering to the teacher's training, Mr. Zuo Kai pays great attention to writing, hanging his wrist and elbow in large and small characters, and paying attention to finger skill, wrist skill and elbow skill. Yu Guan wrote a book by Mr. Kai, with the intention of writing first and the intention of writing later. It is powerful in the emptiness. Press it heavily and lift it gently. Squat the front into the paper and exert force at the waist. It can be said that the four forces of finger, wrist, elbow and waist are used together. When you gather a little, you can write with great force through the back of the paper. Therefore, its small characters are penetrating and its big characters are strong and strange. The profound skills written by Mr. Zhang are beyond the reach of ordinary calligraphers today.
作楷先生性情极真。林老曾对他说:“学字就是做人,字如其人,什么样的人,就写什么样的字,学会做人,字也容易写好。”要“待人以诚”,不要“好高骛远”。要做“专同假、丑、恶作对的真人”。生活中的作楷先生,真实做人,云水襟怀。为人为艺,仗义执言。他不摆资格,不讲排场,鼓励后学,诲人不倦。他出生在甘肃,生长在南京,既具有北方人的直率、豪气,又有南方人的温婉、细腻,一如他的书风,既有金石气,又不乏书卷气。他的书法多元并存,既有连绵大草,又有端庄小楷;既有古拙金文,又有秀劲章草;既有宽博隶书,又有流便行书。但是,无论哪种书体在他的笔下都是那么自然鲜活,那么生机勃发。

Mr. Zuo Kai in life is a real man with cloud and water mind. Be an artist and speak out. He does not show his qualifications, does not talk about ostentation, encourages postgraduates and teaches tirelessly. He was born in Gansu and grew up in Nanjing. He has both the forthright and heroic spirit of northerners and the gentle and delicate spirit of southerners. Just like his style of writing, he has both the spirit of gold and stone and the spirit of books. His calligraphy is diversified and coexisting, including continuous grass and dignified small regular script; There are not only ancient and clumsy gold inscriptions, but also Xiujin Zhangcao; There are both Kuanbo official script and liubianxing script. However, no matter what kind of writing style he wrote, it is so natural and fresh, so full of vitality.
作楷先生擅作草书。很多人说作楷先生以草书名世,余亦有同感。天资、悟性、性情、勤奋,让他具备了成为一个草书家的诸多条件。长锋、羊毫、加健、宿墨,逸笔草草,皆成珠玑。观先生作草,擒纵有度,极尽变化,中锋使转,开合自如;侧锋绞擦,摇曳多姿。或轻或重、或徐或疾、或枯或润、或渴或洇,如聆天籁,如品山泉。他是一个墨法高手,尤其擅作飞白,能于无墨中求笔,在枯墨中写出润来。焦墨、浓墨、淡墨、渴墨、积墨、宿墨、水墨交融,深浅干润,在他的笔下变化无穷。
Mr. Zhang is good at cursive script. Many people say that Mr. Zuo Kai is famous for cursive writing, and I feel the same. His talent, savvy, temperament and diligence gave him many conditions to become a cursive calligrapher. Changfeng, yanghao, Jiajian, sumo and Yibi are all pearls. Mr. Guan makes grass, has a degree of escapement, makes great changes, and the center turns and opens and closes freely; The side edge is twisted and rubbed, swaying and colorful. Or light or heavy, or slow or disease, or dry or moist, or thirsty or Yin, such as listening to the sounds of nature, such as tasting mountain springs. He is a master of ink painting, especially good at flying white. He can find a pen without ink and write moist in dry ink. Scorched ink, thick ink, light ink, thirsty ink, accumulated ink, permanent ink and water ink blend, and the depth is dry and moist, which changes infinitely in his pen.
2022年4月18日,桑作楷在世界文化艺术界联合会官网上《每日一星》评选活动被评选为第一名。
