《大连邓刚》

十多年前在浙江台州和作家郑九蝉聊到当年他在鲁迅文学院学习时,曾说起过他的学长邓刚。邓刚当年40岁,比郑九蝉大4岁,两人都有最基层的劳动生活经验,又都生长在海边。郑九蝉生长在浙江的东海,邓刚生长在大连的渤海。

More than ten years ago, he talked to writer Zheng jiuchan in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, that he had talked about Deng Gang, his chief student, when he studied in Lu Xun Academy of Arts. Deng Gang was 40 years old and 4 years older than Zheng jiuchan. Both of them had the most basic experience in working and living, and they grew up at the seaside. Zhengjiuchan grows in the East China Sea of Zhejiang Province, and denggang grows in the Bohai Sea of Dalian.


郑九蝉的父亲是国民党军官,邓刚的家庭出身是“历史反革命”,他们从小又都酷爱文学,又都经历过生活的磨难,只是郑九蝉生活在浙江台州的山里和东北远东的清朝罪臣流放地,邓刚生活在渤海湾汹涌无际大海边。

Zheng jiuchan's father is a Kuomintang officer. Deng Gang's family origin is "historical counter revolution". They are both fond of literature and have experienced the hardships of life since childhood. Zheng jiuchan lives in the mountains of Taizhou, Zhejiang Province and the exile of Qing Dynasty criminals in the northeast and far east of Zhejiang Province. Denggang lives on the boundless sea of Bohai Bay.


邓刚1979年在《海燕》发表第一篇小说《心里的鲜花》,此后十余年间发表长、中、短篇小说及散文数百万字。1983年加入中国作家协会。

Deng Gang published his first novel "flowers in the heart" in "Haiyan" in 1979, and over ten years later, he published millions of long, medium and short stories and prose. He joined the Chinese Writers Association in 1983.

著有长篇小说《白海参》、《曲里拐弯的故事》,中短篇小说集《迷人的海》、《龙兵过》等。《陈痛》、《迷人的海》。其作品改编成影视剧本《站直喽,别趴下》《狂吻俄罗斯》《澳门雨》等多部。

郑九蝉的短篇小说集《能媳妇》获《当代》文学奖,《黑雪》获全国第三届金钥匙奖,《浑河》获浙江省优秀文学奖,《荒野》获浙江省优秀文学奖,中短篇小说《途远世界老》、《野猪滩》分别获1985年、1990年浙江省优秀文学奖。他们在成名前,都曾接到过成麻袋的退稿。

在鲁讯文学院两人的共同爱好和经历使他们有很多共同的语言,常常在私下交流创作体会。邓刚比郑九蝉年长,又比郑九蝉出道早,就经常给郑九蝉讲故事,给郑九蝉留下最深印象是,邓刚的老婆是讲故事讲来的。邓刚说那时讲谈情说爱,我的老婆就是讲故事讲来的,而不是娶,娶得花钱,我当时没钱,只能靠说。当地人常问的一句话就是“说媳妇没”。

郑九蝉告诉我,你如果有机会去大连,和邓刚交流一下,他的语言和思想能给你很多启迪。那是个风趣幽默满身才华的大哥。从那时起,我知道在中国的文坛上有个大连作家邓刚。

Zheng jiuchan told me that if you had the chance to go to Dalian and talk to Deng Gang, his language and thoughts would give you a lot of inspiration. It was a big brother with a funny, humorous and talented man. Since then, I know that there is Deng Gang, a Dalian writer in Chinese literary world.


现在孩子在大连工作,在这里成了家,我也连续三次来到了大连。我认为要想了一个地方的人文历史,最简捷的方法是先了解当地的作家和他的作品。连续几天,我从网上找出了大连作家邓刚的作品。带着原始的人性一气读完了《鲅鱼食》。被作者故事的巧妙构思,速写人物刻画,对海洋生物的描写,对民间语言的运用,真的让人欲罢不能。

后来看邓刚创作理念才发现他和郑九蝉一样都是对文学热爱到能发疯般的人物。

此次到大连,我就刻意地留心了一下有关邓刚的信息,发觉邓刚的很多创作理念都是对文学青年的实用秘籍,简明深刻,能直捣人们的心灵最柔软的去处。

邓刚说:希望被人理解是弱者的表现。充满力量和自信的人是不会乞求别人理解的。 邓刚说:当代读者越来越不愿用眼睛读小说,而是用心读。那种大场景、多线头的写法已使他们腻烦,现代科学的信息传播工具使他们对客观场景知道得太多太多,愈发想探究埋在肚皮里的世界。

Deng Gang said: hope to be understood is the performance of the weak. People who are full of strength and confidence will not beg for understanding. 邓刚还说:缺乏艺术性的作品就像没炒熟的菜,无论有什么丰富的营养,读者也吃不下去。一个作者想用自己的作品去指导读者怎样改革、怎样生活,那他是骑在读者的脑袋上写作,只要读者一晃脑袋,他就会掉到读者的屁股底下。一篇作品失去艺术性,其它的一切都将黯淡无光。

Deng Gang also said: lack of artistic works is like a dish that has not been cooked. No matter what rich nutrition, readers can't eat it. A writer wants to use his works to guide readers how to reform and how to live. He is writing on the reader's head. As long as the reader shakes his head, he will fall under the reader's butt. One piece of work loses its artistry, and everything else will be dim.


最终邓刚道出了他在写作上成功的秘密:我小时候做作家梦时,也痛苦过、焦躁过、怒发冲冠过,但我就是不死,怎么也不死。我拼命地投稿,编辑拼命地退稿。他越退,我越投,把可爱的邮递员累成了罗圈腿,我还是拼命,终于,我拼过了编辑!

Finally Deng just said the secret of his success in writing: when I was a kid, I was in pain, anxious and angry, but I was not dead, and I could never die. I tried my best to contribute, and the editor gave it back. The more he retired, the more I cast, the more tired the lovely postman into a circle leg, I was still desperately, finally, I worked for the editor!


记得当年郑九蝉大哥也对我讲过:想搞文学要沉下去,要耐得住寂寞,当年他在鲁迅文学院学习时院长李清泉告诫他:想搞真正的文学要经得住权力和女色的诱惑。要把自己所有的精力如聚光镜一样集中在一个点上。当年老作家丁玲也对他们不少同学强调过:当作家要先下地狱然后上天堂,再下地狱,再上天堂。他解释说下地狱就是要经受痛苦生活的磨炼,不断磨炼自己的意志,不断使自己的灵魂升华。他说当年他们那些同学里很多都当领导从政了。现在真正还在煞心写作的也就是三五个人。(那时邓刚算一个。当年还没有现在这样多的头衔) 现在理解这些老一代作家的成功经验就是一句话:一生只专注做一件事,没有不成功的。像现在的家长培养孩子,学好数理化还要去专门辅导钢琴,画画,书法,舞蹈----结果样样通样样松。

He explained that hell is to endure the suffering of life, constantly hone their will, constantly sublimate their soul. He said that many of their classmates were leaders in politics. Now, the real writing is the three or five people( Deng just counted one at that time. Now, it is a sentence to understand the successful experience of these older writers: one thing is devoted to one thing in life, no unsuccessful. Like parents now cultivate children, learn mathematics and mathematics, but also go to the piano, painting, calligraphy, dance - the results are all loose.

Deng Gang has a unique view on literary creation. Seeing his writing comprehension, he has solved my confusion for so many years just like sitting opposite me. 虽然很多文学大家都是驾驭各种文体的高手,但我还是愿意相信,文学家不一定都得有长著巨制。鲁迅不也是没写长篇吗,并没影响他在中国文学史上的地位。

在论述文学作品与现实生活的真实时,邓刚说:真实并不逼真,非常真实的写生活等于豆腐渣。生活的真实不等于生活本质的真实,真实达不到逼真。文学创作要带有真实的感情,没有情感的真实,创作就没有意义。

当年郑九蝉曾对我说在中国当代作家中,他最喜欢读邓刚和史铁生的作品,他们的作品,揭示了生命里最神秘最核心的东西。

Zheng jiuchan once told me that among contemporary Chinese writers, he liked to read Deng Gang and Shi Tiesheng most. Their works revealed the most mysterious and core things in life.


一个作家无论写什么题材的作品,都绕不开对人性的表现。

No matter what kind of works a writer writes, he can not do without the expression of human nature.


这是我在大连这些天来思索这些年与作家郑九蝉,钱国丹,诗人林海蓓和这次虽然没能见到邓刚,但已然在心灵上交流过一样,对文学创作有了新的认识,也更深刻地了解了作家也是普普通通的人,只是他们敢说常人想说而说不出来的话而已,他们说的话都是拐了几个弯的,他们管这样的拐弯说法叫做艺术加工。

此次来大连,使我能静下心来读一些邓刚的作品,进一步了解了郑九蝉心中幽默睿智的邓刚,是比我在大连游星海广场、老虎滩吃海鲜的更大收获。

在一次文学讲座上,在演讲完最后互动提问中,有人递上条子,可以问你这样一个问题吗:妻子和情人哪个重要?
