北京荣唐连环画博物馆经北京市文物局、北京市民政局审批的北京市唯一一家连环画博物馆。馆址设在原北京化工八厂“北化·华腾易心堂文创园”内。

初春的一个周日，笔者慕名探访了这里。听了老共产党员、在圈内被誉为“民国连藏第一痴”的刘精民先生介绍。

连环画作为一种独立的艺术门类,体现出强大而旺盛的生命力,从历史上看就有其独特之处。

首先是通俗易懂易看。因为它通俗而不深奥,人们愿意看,看得懂，才为人民大众所喜闻乐见，无论老幼妇孺,文化高低,都对连环画情有独钟。

二是连环画的“小”。

连环画的俗称叫“小人书”。一是为少年儿童而专门绘制的,其读者对象自然是孩子们。二是在所有书籍绘画中,连环画是体积最小的一种书,开面最小的一种画 。真正是小人书、大天地”,它的内容包容着波澜壮阔的历史画卷,展示着古往今来的社会风情,揭示着各个阶层的人生真谛,世界风云、纵横历史都浓缩在小小的巴掌般大的连环画之上。

三是连环画的“独”

连环画独特的优势在于绘画形式和表现风格的多样性。它不受画种的限制,大凡钢笔画、铅笔画、中国画、木炭画、油画、水粉画、漫画、版画,甚至剪纸、雕塑等,都可以形成连续的画面,塑造人物形象,叙述完整的故事。

The unique advantage of comic strip lies in the diversity of painting form and expression style. It is not limited by the type of painting. 四是连环画的“雅”

雅,即高雅、美观。正如鲁迅先生所说:“连环画早已坐在艺术之宫的里面了。”从以上特点我们可以看出,连环画真是一种小中见大、俗中有雅、雅俗共赏的艺术。

正因为连环画有如上特点，我们党才在中国革命的各个历史时期，把他作为一种宣传群众，教育群众，打击敌人，消灭敌人的有力武器。

刘精民指着展厅里的一册米古画的《少年毛泽东》说：米古是位老一代革命画家，1939年在延安鲁迅艺术学院美术系、美术工厂学习和创作。曾与华君武一起创办延安鲁迅艺术学院漫画研究班，为《前线》刊物作画。

为迎接中国共产党建党100周年，北京荣唐连环画博物馆特筹办“建党百年，红色传承”主题连环画系列展览，展出连环画及连环画原稿（复制品）共计40件套作品，目前正在展出“浴血荣光”部分。同时为了更好地服务于游客，特筹建了连环画阅览室，图书内容涵盖传统文化类、战斗类、古典题材、名人故事等连环画作品。在本馆藏品中描写中国共产党建党以来的各个历史时期的连环画册就有一千多种，最早《英勇奋斗十八年》《大战台儿庄》《二万五千里长征》等作品都是解放前出版发行的。

她们是从通州潞河那边开车过来的，就是为了让孩子来看看我国连环画的发展脉络，孩子从小喜欢图画，可是现在网上多是卡通和动漫很多是外国的东西，传统的连环画很少，系统成套的更少，咱北京有了连环画博物馆，有这么多馆藏小画本，能让孩子们在周日回寒暑假期来这里看小人书长见识受熏陶，真是办了件大好事。

据介绍：北京荣唐连环画博物馆是2020年10月10日正式开馆，对外免费开放。目前有从民国以来各历史时期连环画展厅四个，还有发展繁荣展厅，茁壮成长展厅，连环画封面及宣传画原稿展厅，新中国连环画精品展厅。
