镜湖闲人实名唐卫东,用个“镜湖闲人”网名不只是因喜欢陆游的名句:镜湖元自属闲人,又何必、君恩赐与。还暗合家乡牡丹江有个名扬中外的镜泊湖,而他从事的工作--牡丹江林业局森林调查队,每年工作以春、真为主,冬闲一半,故称闲人。

It also coincides with the fact that there is a well-known Jingpo Lake in Mudanjiang, where he works in the forest investigation team of Mudanjiang Forestry Bureau. Every year, he mainly works in spring and winter, half of which is idle in winter, so he is called idle man.
说他独来独往是他摄影已有30多年的资历,可竟什么协会都没加入,问其理由则日:君子周而不比,小人比而不周。名利非我愿,但做江湖游。
It is said that he has more than 30 years of experience in photography, but he has not joined any association. The reason is that a gentleman is not good enough, and a villain is not good enough. Fame and wealth is not my wish, but I'm going to travel in the world.
唐卫东出生在黑龙江省笔架山农场,从省林业学校毕业后就喜欢摄影,1983年开始玩120相机,他的入门方法就是买书学习,他现在还记得他看得最多的是《摄影世界》。从《摄影世界》中他知道了什么是光圈,什么是速度,什么是色温,什么是暗房技术。在此期间,他把业余时间全部投入到了对摄影的研究上。当然,当时的工资钱也大多用在了购买器材和胶卷上了。使他对摄影理论和技术有明显提升,是他到摄影楼打工时的那段经历。当他对中国摄影报记者谈起那段经历时不无感触地说:“在那里的工作对摄影相当有帮助,对自由摄影和商业摄影有了更深的理解,特别是对后期制作有很大提高,对数码后期重要性的认识学习与提高有极大的帮助。”
Tang Weidong was born in Bijiashan farm of Heilongjiang Province. After graduating from the Forestry School of Heilongjiang Province, he liked photography. In 1983, he began to play with 120 cameras. His way to get started was to buy books and study. He still remembers that he saw the world of photography most. From the world of photography, he knows what is aperture, what is speed, what is color temperature, what is darkroom technology. During this period, he devoted all his spare time to the study of photography. Of course, most of the wage money at that time was also used to buy equipment and film. It was his experience when he worked in a photography studio that made him improve his photography theory and technology. When he talked about that experience to China Photo Daily reporter, he said with emotion: "the work there is very helpful for photography, and has a deeper understanding of free photography and commercial photography, especially for post production, and has a great help for learning and improving the importance of digital post production."
唐卫东认为:摄影是思维形式的一-种具体表现,宏观上是没有限制的,到了一定程度后技术仅仅是一种手段,后期也是手段之一-,是再创作修整不足的美化手段,是主题表现的进一步提升,重要的仍然是要有思想。他对商业摄 影和自由摄影是这样理解的:满足拍摄对象的要求可谓商业摄影,表达内心感受可以理解为自由摄影。有扎实的基本功和灵活的思维与理念才能满足商业摄影要求。三十年来,他拍过几万张片子,问他有哪些满意作品,他说:“没有,艺术是没有止境的"。这些年他从没参加过什么摄影展,他总感觉自己的作品不行。就是中国摄影 日报记者采访他,他也是再三地婉拒说自己的水平还差很多,没啥可写的,他拍片只是为了打发闲暇时间。
Tang Weidong thinks: photography is a kind of concrete expression of thinking form, and there is no limit on the macro level. To a certain extent, technology is only a means, and later stage is also one of the means. It is a beautifying means of insufficient re creation and finishing, and a further improvement of theme expression. The important thing is still to have ideas. His understanding of commercial photography and free photography is as follows: meeting the requirements of shooting objects can be called commercial photography, and expressing inner feelings can be understood as free photography. Only solid basic skills and flexible thinking and ideas can meet the requirements of commercial photography. Over the past 30 years, he has made tens of thousands of films. When he asked him what satisfied works he had, he said, "no, there is no end to art.". He has never participated in any photo exhibition in these years, and he always feels that his works are not good. Even when he was interviewed by a reporter from China Photo daily, he repeatedly declined to say that his level was still far behind and there was nothing to write about. He was just shooting to kill his leisure time.
说起用拍片打发闲时的方法,唐卫东有了话题:现在拍片基本是一 整套计划,选题确定主题,制定拍摄计划,技术准备,场景选择,服装道具筹备以及后勤保障。这些也是一般人玩不起的,至于小品类只是随拍娱乐了。对于如何评价-幅作品他说:首先看基本功,对焦是否精准,虚实的选择与对比是否合理,测光曝光是否准确,能否准确处理高低光细节,过了这一关才能探讨构图意境以及内涵。用有限的元素组织起无限的想象,用简单诠释美感,用留白解读静谧,极简是形式亦或是理念,是唐卫东一直追求的境界。

As for how to evaluate a work, he said: first of all, it depends on the basic skills, whether the focus is accurate, whether the selection and comparison of virtual and real is reasonable, whether the exposure is accurate, and whether the details of high and low light can be handled accurately. Tang Weidong always pursues the realm of organizing infinite imagination with limited elements, interpreting beauty with simplicity, and interpreting tranquility with blank space. Minimalism is form or idea.
