最近才知道,管用和是中国老一文人中能写诗作画和书法的全才高手。

Recently, I learned that guanyonghe is a master of poetry, painting and calligraphy among the old Chinese literati.


管用和在中国诗坛成名是五十年代的时候,当年他才二十来岁,便因在报刊上发表诗歌而出名,最让他名扬国内的是当年被全国文化界争论批判的《绕道》一诗:

就是这首写一位区委书记夜晚赶路到县里开会,在路上碰到一对青年男女约会,区委书记怕惊扰他俩就绕道走了的小诗,在《武汉晚报》和《诗刊》上遭到错误的批判,影响波及国外。说是抒发了资产阶级的情调,贬低了老革命的形象,宣扬了"革命的目的就是让后代青年在爱情中甜醉""幸福就是爱情的资产阶级腐朽思想。

This is a little poem about a district party secretary who was on his way to the county for a meeting at night and met a young man and woman on a date on the way. The district party secretary was afraid of disturbing them, so he took a detour. It was wrongly criticized in Wuhan Evening News and poetry magazine, and its influence spread abroad. 在围剿批判中,有些人并非一般作者,而是有相当资历的文化人和作家、文艺理论家。

管用和1937年深秋,出生于湖北省孝感县一个手工业者家庭。1955年 毕业于孝感一 中师范部。17岁参加工作,先后在汉阳县沌口小学、汉阳县文化馆、汉阳县第一中学、汉阳县楚剧团工作。

年轻时,特别爱画,18岁开始发表美术作品。21岁考取美术学院,但入学未遂,被汉阳县文教科某些人认定为“个人主义严重有想成名成家资产阶级思想”的人,倍受打击,无理降职降薪。

激情出诗人,在极其恶劣的环境里,管用和偷偷摸摸改写诗歌。23岁 出版诗集《欢乐的农村》(与国翰合出) 、《公社儿歌》 (与李作华合出) 。以后相继出版诗集《山寨水乡集》(与刘不朽合出)、曲艺集《一包茶》、《- -担新箩筐》、诗集《公社大地》。

管用和的诗,都是有灵感而发,虽然诗句很短,却韵味无穷。管用和在谈到他的创作经验时说:诗人灵感的触发,--星之火便可以燃起整个诗的诗情,使作者的情感思绪智慧显得特别饱满、活跃而敏锐,迅速地产生新颖别致的构思,轻松生动完美地将整个诗篇表达出来。

一次,他在汉口的河边行走,河岸的草木都被污染腐蚀枯萎了。在-棵枯槁的柳树上,居然残留着一个鸟巢。当时的场景,激发了管用和的灵感,似乎听到鸟巢里还有刚孵出的小鸟在叫的声音。(事实上巢里没有鸟儿) 脑海中立刻联想到在地震中有的母亲怀里死死地护卫着婴儿的情景,想到一些仁人志士,虽然死去了,他们的事迹和精神依然鼓舞激励着活着的人们....于是,一行小诗流出。

管用和的诗也是随时都关注着身边的生活,他常常以身边发生的事件入诗,用生活中常见的物像表达出当时的感情:

有一年,他回到沌口走访血吸虫病的地方,在大涧口的一个学生家里。学生向他反映,这里是个年年涨水年年淹的地方,而今办农场,可苦了渔民。世世代代靠渔业生活,不会种田。修堤围垦改农场以后,不准捕鱼,好不容易种水稻,可是一淹水, 颗粒无收。这里原本家家有渔船渔网。现在,渔船有的没有了,有的船破桨烂,搁在房前屋后。那捕鱼的渔网,也挂在屋梁上。这种领导上瞎指挥的作风,在湖区学大寨时很普遍。

This kind of leadership style of blind command is very common in the lake area when learning from Dazhai.


看着他家渔网挂在屋梁上,不由得想起这里过去渔民捞捕的繁忙的场面,以及渔村里到处晾;

Looking at his fishing net hanging on the roof beam, I can't help thinking of the busy scenes of fishermen fishing here in the past, and the fishing village hanging everywhere;


晒着鱼虾的景象。看见挂在屋梁上沾满蜘蛛网和灰尘的渔网。管用和想以这个题材写一首诗,茫然中,看着挂在屋梁上的渔网,突然想起“悬梁自尽”这句话。心中一动。自然想到这渔网在捞捕时,纲举目张,网眼张得开开的。而现在,却闭目悬梁。就像人想不通,悬梁自尽一般。于是就写下了一首《废湖歌》:

只用28个字,就形象地记录下了当年学大寨运动中不顾实际情况,一刀切,瞎指挥的恶果,连渔网都不忍张眼观看,最后拟人化地悬梁自尽。

In only 28 words, it vividly records the evil result of the xuedazhai movement, which ignored the actual situation and conducted blindly. Even the fishing net couldn't bear to open its eyes to watch, and finally committed suicide by personification.


细品诗中余味与唐朝诗人聂夷中的《咏田家》有异曲同工之妙。

The aftertaste of the poem is similar to that of Nie Yizhong's Ode to Tian Jia.

管用和在谈写诗的体会时说:生活的现象是散乱的,是错综庞杂的,如何从平凡生活中的千丝万缕中,抽出一-线经纬,织出美丽的诗篇,就取决于诗人构思的本领。

管用和的诗,不仅写青山秀水,草绿花红,更多的是关注百姓的生活,他翻用千百年的古调,唱出了当代农民工的艰辛。

管用和先生不仅写了一辈子诗,给人们留下了许多余韵隽永的名篇诗作,也同时留下了指导诗歌创作的理论教程《管用和诗谈》。

A painting that works and works


管用和从小热爱绘画,21岁时考上美术学院却被县级文教主管部门挡在了门外,从此中国诗坛多了位诗人。

He loved painting since he was a child. When he was 21 years old, he was admitted to the Academy of fine arts, but he was blocked by the competent department of culture and education at the county level.


管用和自己曾说:我平生的志趣在于绘画,但现实生活身不由己,从公开美术创作,到偷偷摸摸写诗,以致成为-名作家,实非本人初衷。故61岁退休以后,将主要精力致力于绘画,2009年由武汉出版社出版了儿童诗画集《小玲玲的诗》。2010年由湖北美术出版社出版了《管用和诗画集》; 2013年由新加坡出版传媒集团出版了《诗书画管用和作品选》; 2017年由湖北美术出版社出版了《管用和画梦录》。

Guan Yong and I once said: my life interest lies in painting, but in real life, I can't help myself. From open art creation to furtive poetry writing, I became a famous writer, which is not my original intention. Therefore, after retiring at the age of 61, he devoted his major energy to painting. In 2009, he published the children's poetry and painting collection "the poems of Xiao Lingling" by Wuhan publishing house. In 2010, Hubei Fine Arts Publishing House published guanyong and poetry and painting collection; in 2013, Singapore publishing media group published guanyong and selected works of poetry, calligraphy and painting; in 2017, Hubei Fine Arts Publishing House published guanyong and dream of painting.


看管用和的学画经历,与史上画家王冕有些相近。都是少年贫寒靠自学绘画成功。

The painting experience of Guan Yong He is similar to that of Wang Mian. They are all poor young people who succeed in painting by self-study.


管用和画得最多的题材是自己故乡的山光水韵,是江南的春江帆影、山野人家、湖汊村庄、秋野曲溪。这是与他的乡土诗歌一脉相承的故园之恋。他笔下的山野人家:“时有白云擦屋过,常听泉瀑入窗声”;“门前绿树用红花,屋后高峦日弄霞”。他心目中的故国山川:“高峦峻岭八百里,尽在春花锦绣中”。那火红的枫林掩映的小村,轻柔的白云缠绕的山乡人家,那涓涓的流泉、疏淡的林野、袅袅的炊烟、暖暖的暮色. .. ..都渲染出了诗人心中最深沉的乡土之爱。

The most effective and popular themes are the scenery of his hometown, the scenery of the Spring River in the south of the Yangtze River, the families in the mountains, the villages in the lake and the Quxi in the autumn. This is the love of his hometown which comes down in one continuous line with his local poetry. In his works, people in the mountains and wild: "sometimes white clouds wipe the house, and often listen to the sound of springs and waterfalls entering the window"; "the green trees in front of the door use red flowers, and the high mountains behind the house make rosy clouds.". In his mind, the mountains and rivers of his native country are as high as 800 Li in the beautiful spring flowers. The village with the red maple forest, the mountain people with the gentle white clouds, the trickling spring, the sparse forest, the curling smoke and the warm Twilight all play up the deepest love of the local people in the poet's heart.


管用和作画与中国古代文人作画一样,喜欢在画上题诗:

《巴东人家》画面是:群山叠嶂,溪水湍流,几户人家,隐居山丘。

管用和的画作题材,多取自于家乡的山水,配上他那清丽的诗词,自有-种传统文人的书画风格。

The themes of his paintings are mostly from the landscapes of his hometown, coupled with his beautiful poems, which have a traditional literati style of painting and calligraphy.


管用和画画没经正规学院的学习,少了些学院派的羁绊和束缚,多了些师天地,法自然的自由挥洒,把对家乡山水的热爱倾注笔端,使他的作品自有一种天然的妙趣。

It works and paints without formal college study, less academic fetters and constraints, more teachers from heaven and earth, natural free flow, the love of his hometown landscape into the pen, so that his works have a natural wit.


管用和在画画上能有如此的成就,首先得益于他的勤奋。

His diligence is the first reason for his success in painting.


据管先生回忆他当年一有机会就画速写, 画速写工具简单,一支笔, 一个速写本就行,等车,等船,听报告,开会,都可以就地画速写。

According to Mr. Guan's recollection, he used to sketch whenever he had a chance. The tools for sketching were simple, just a pen or a sketchbook. He could sketch on the spot when waiting for a bus, waiting for a boat, listening to a report or having a meeting.


文革中,有一-次武装部的政委在电影院作政治报告,他种用这时间又偷偷地画起速写来。不料,被邻座的-位正人君子发现,偷偷地递了一张纸条传了上去。政委在台上当场念出第几排第几号有人在画伢脑壳。顿时,场里响起一片呼声: “站起来”站起来....管用和只得 十分尴尬地站了起来,当场示众,事后,照画如故。

也是在那个时期,县里将一些当时认为有问题的人集中学习批斗,管用和早就是“右倾思想"挂号的文化人,在劫难逃。每次开会时,管用和都坐在靠边的二层床上,手拿笔和笔记本,别人以为他是在做笔记。其实是在画速写,一个月下来,他居然画了一-本人物速写。

有一幅画的是在批斗右派分子的速写。事后给大家看,都笑着说画的真像其人。被画者是县文教局教研室的人员,家庭出身地主,又是右派,文革中当然挨批斗的对象。

The painter is a member of the teaching and research section of the county cultural and Education Bureau. He is a landlord of family origin and a rightist. 管用和曾自谦地说,他读小学的时候也临摹过柳体字帖,没人指导,自己依样画葫芦胡弄了几天,不久就用铅笔和蘸水钢笔写字了。后来读中学,做作业考答卷用钢笔,直到参加工作,也一直没有跟毛笔打过交道。

清王虚舟论书说:,“束腾天潜渊之势于豪忽(笔端),乃能纵横潇洒. .... 须是字外有笔, 大力回旋,实际盘绕,如游丝,如飞龙,突然-落,来去无迹,斯能于字外出力,而向背往来,不可得其端儿(头绪)矣”。相信管用和这样的作家肯定看过古人的这段书法论述,所以作品中也在往这方面倾斜和靠拢。

看管用和先生的书法作品,有一种似曾相识的感觉,想起八大山人郑板桥的乱石铺街体有些相似。据说,郑板桥早年学书相当刻苦,写众家字体均能神似,但终觉不足。有一次,他竟在妻子的背上划来划去,揣摩字的笔画和结构。妻子不耐烦了,说:“你有你的体,我有我的体,你老在人家的体上划什么?”这无意间说出的一语双关的话,使板桥恍然有悟:不能老在别人的体格上“规规效法”。

评价一幅字的好坏,主要看他是否具备了笔法、结体和笔势,而这一理论,也是张怀瓘在《书断》当中所强调的,对于书法家创作,起到了很好的指导作用。纵观郑板桥所创作的乱石铺街书法作品,大多给人一种古拙之美,恰好是因为他具备了以上三要素,与那些丑书大师们所创作的书法作品,是有本质区别的,因为他们根本不具备这些特征。

How to write calligraphy


我本来不想给别人题字写字,但又不好意思拒绝朋友的要求,怕他说我摆架子,便用画画的秃笔随手写了一幅字给他。他看了看说,字写得好,就是毛糙了一些。我随口开玩笑说,这就是茅草(毛糙)体。于是在朋友中传开管用和写茅草体字的笑柄。这也引起我的兴趣,不妨创一个独特的字体,尝试一番。便写了一些茅草字发表在微信群里。说好的人有之,否定的人有之。我不是书法家,也不怕人笑话,心想这是个试验,不论成败,也学学第一个吃螃 蟹的人。自知我无厚实书法功底,成不了气候。也许有着书法功底的人,步我之后,会有所成就,也是一件幸事。
