杜辉煌身在外交工作岗位虽深知这点,却没法身体力行,因为这些年他在各种场合为世界各国的首脑政要拍攝人物肖像,不仅是工作需要,更是他从小就痴迷的个人爱好。这爱好的成果,最后都凝聚在了杜辉煌的影集《外交官眼中的各国政要》《影像巴新辉煌之路》和表现自然生态风光的《杜辉煌旅日攝影》三册影集中。

从2004年在摩洛哥拍摄的《买水老人》获中国美术馆举办“中国外交官看世界摄影展“二等奖后。先后有《寻找历史的足迹》《影》《风雨无阻归家路》《我爱你中国》《巴新土著人》《中国第一位少数民族女大使傅莹》和《和平方舟号女兵》等近二十多幅作品获得了摄影家协会,外交部,国家博物馆,中国文联等举办的摄影展奖。

其中最为中国人争光的是2012年在日本观光厅和日本新华侨报联合举办的”我眼中的日本“摄影大赛中《晨曦中的富士山》获唯一的最优秀金奖。

2015年7月《中国第一位少数民族女大使傅莹》和《和平方舟号女兵》参加由中国文联和中国摄影协会联合举办的女性视角下的中国“专题摄影展后被文化部推荐到捷克西部城市比尔森(欧洲文化之都)、比利时布鲁塞尔(欧盟总部)、毛里求斯(中国文化中心)和葡萄牙等四个国家展览。

2016年10月10日,庆祝中国一巴布亚新几内亚独立国建交40周年招待会上,主办方还专门在钓鱼台国宾馆举办了杜辉煌的《巴新辉煌之路》摄影展。这也是钓鱼台国宾馆承办的绝无仅有的个人专题作品展。

《世界知识》杂志2009年第7期封面上微笑着的十一世班禅,是杜辉煌的得意作品之。拍攝过程也很有戏剧性,当时除官方安排的杜辉煌拍照外,十一世班禅的御用攝影师也在不停地抢拍各种画面。可能是职业的关系,十一世班禅佛祖的表情一直透着一种佛家的神圣和庄严,拍出的效果不能让杜辉煌满意,他想让世人看到能给信众带来喜悦样和的活佛。

The smiling Panchen on the cover of the 7th issue of world knowledge magazine in 2009 is one of Du Huihuang's proud works. The shooting process was also very dramatic. At that time, in addition to the official arrangement of Du Huihuang, the imperial photographers of the 11th Panchen Lama were constantly scrambling to take pictures. 最让他难忘的是给马来西亚前总理马哈蒂尔拍照时,马哈蒂尔所坐的沙发后边横摆着把工艺品象牙刀,杜辉煌连拍几张虽然表情和内在的气质都表现得很好,但他看到背景那横在脖后的象牙刀总有一种说不出的别扭,于是他又申请两分钟时间,躺到地板上,头顶着墙边的提角线连拍几张侧影,终于选出了最满意的照片。当马哈蒂尔了解到杜辉煌是为了避开他身后的象牙刀才躺地拍照时,连连称赞他是最称职的攝影师。

当年栗原小卷曾与中国合作拍过《清凉寺的钟声》,当时谢晋导演请栗原小卷演一个老母亲。剧本是一个中日战争故事,虽然中国人民带来了巨大不幸,但是中国人不计前嫌,反而对留在中国的日本孤儿悉心照料把他们抚养长大。而那些日本孤儿的遭遇则告诉我们,战争同样给日本人民带来了灾难。

2016年10月10日,在中国对外友好协会举办的纪念中国一巴布亚新几内亚独立国建交40周年招待会上,同时举办了著名国际名人政要摄影师杜辉煌的《巴新辉煌之路》摄影展。

On October 10, 2016, at the reception held by the China Association for friendship with foreign countries to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Papua New Guinea, the photo exhibition "brilliant road of PNG" by famous international celebrity and political photographer Du Huihuang was held.

当天在钓鱼台6号楼的友谊厅以《巴新风情》《巴新风光》《中巴友好》《我爱你中华》等四个主题展现了巴新的自然风光和民俗风貌。

2013年,杜辉煌被派驻中国驻巴新大使馆工作,一踏上这块热土,就被这南太平洋岛国的旖旎风光和淳朴的民情所感动,利用工作和业余时间拍摄了大量作品,用画面记录了巴新岛国的日新月异变化和令人陶醉的风光及那里丰富多彩的民俗文化。

In 2013, Du Huihuang was assigned to work in the Chinese Embassy in PNG. As soon as he set foot on this hot land, he was moved by the beautiful scenery and simple folk feelings of the South Pacific island country. 参观期间,当王钦敏副主席听到郑泽光副部长介绍本次展出的所有作品都是由杜辉煌一人拍摄,特别是冒着风险拍摄巴新食人族的生活时,转头审视杜辉煌几秒钟后再次与杜辉煌握手表示祝贺他取得如此的辉煌成就。

2016年以后,杜辉煌把自己的摄影镜头又瞄准了外交部的一些离退休外交老人,这些人在外交战线工作了一生,他们的经历无论是外交舞台上的叱咤风云、谈判桌上的唇枪舌剑,还是招待会上的斛光杯影,乃至司机厨师的琐碎杂务都是一笔宝贵的财富,有些应上升到遗产的高度来对待。

After 2016, Du Huihuang also targeted some retired diplomatic elderly people in the Ministry of foreign affairs. These people have worked in the diplomatic front all their lives. 采访中,最使杜辉煌感动的是驻基里巴斯临时代办吴钟华。基里巴斯共和国位于太平洋中部,由33个大小岛屿组成(其中21个岛有常住居民),是世界上唯一纵跨赤道且横越国际日期变更线的国家。

八十年代,我国为了结交南太平洋岛国朋友,决定派驻斐济使倌工作的吴钟华前往基里巴斯首都塔拉瓦建立大使馆。而此时的使馆建设仅有吴钟华一人,从馆舍地址选择,采购建筑材料,施工现场管理等都是吴钟华一人操办。

In the 1980s, in order to make friends with island countries in the South Pacific, China decided to send Wu Zhonghua, who works as an envoy to Fiji, to set up an embassy in Tarawa, the capital of Kiribati. At that time, Wu Zhonghua was the only one person in the construction of the embassy. Wu Zhonghua was responsible for the site selection, procurement of building materials and construction site management.

使馆建成后,经国内同意,要在中基建交十周年时搞三项活动:中国电影周、中国建设成就图片展、和几场庆祝招待会。

吴钟华讲在基里巴斯三年,使馆从无到有，从仅有一栋草房,到基里巴斯最标准的宅院,五星红旗在椰林飘扬,院内五十多米长、一米多宽的甬道蜿蜒地通向海边,路边栽有当地的鲜花和热带植物…通过努力,他把中国大使馆展现给基里巴斯人民,也把中国和中国外交官的形象展现给他们。

在此期间,吴钟华遭遇过好几次险情,被车撞晕,住处火灾,生病高烧,强盗入室等。在国内连普通百姓都一生难遇的险情,他在基里巴斯三年任职期间竟连续发生,为以防不测,吴钟华写过好几次遗书。杜辉煌边听吴钟华讲他建设中国驻基里巴斯使馆时的故事边想:这样的外交官生活,也只有对党和国家忠心耿耿的中国外交官才能做到,这样的史料真应当发掘和保留。

During his three years in Kiribati, Wu Zhonghua wrote several suicide letters. Du Huihuang listened to Wu Zhonghua's story about the construction of the Chinese Embassy in Kiribati. He thought: such a diplomat's life can only be achieved by Chinese diplomats who are loyal to the party and the state, Such historical materials should be excavated and preserved.

在采访前辈外交官过程中,杜辉煌还了解到,在老一代外交官的心中,中国最杰出的外交家除周恩来总理、陈毅外长,还有一个最讲外交原则的人就是毛泽东。

杜辉煌采访到毛主席出访苏联的故事:建国初期,毛主席访问苏联,当火车途经苏联的伊尔库斯克(贝加尔湖边上)时,该市准备了盛大的欢迎活动,可是毛主席不下车,说感冒了。随行的陈伯达劝毛主席说,人家为了您准备了欢迎仪式,不去不礼貌吧。

Du Huihuang interviewed the story of Chairman Mao's visit to the Soviet Union: in the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, Chairman Mao visited the Soviet Union. When the train passed by Irkusk (by Lake Baikal) of the Soviet Union, the city prepared a grand welcome event, but Chairman Mao did not get off the bus and said he had a cold. Chen Boda, who was accompanying him, advised Chairman Mao that he had prepared a welcome ceremony for you. It would be impolite not to go.

杜辉煌热爱外交事业,除拍摄新闻图片外,近两年又受聘北京联合大学,上海社会主义学院,广西桂林航空工业学院,贵州工商学院等院校做客座教授,去讲述我国外交事业的伟大成就和外交官们不为人知的生活故事。
