刘长瑜，原名周长瑜，第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目京剧代表性传承人，国家一级演员，首届中国戏剧梅花奖获得者。著名京剧表演艺术家，中国京剧院旦角演员。现任国家京剧院艺术指导，国家京剧院艺术指导委员会主任，中国戏剧家协会副主席。
Liu Changyu, formerly known as Zhou Changyu, is the representative inheritor of the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects of Beijing opera, a national first-class actor, and the winner of the first Chinese Drama Plum Blossom award. He is a famous Peking opera performing artist and a Dan actor in China Peking opera academy. At present, he is the art director of the National Peking Opera Theater, director of the art Steering Committee of the National Peking Opera Theater, and vice chairman of the Chinese Dramatist Association.
1942年生，江苏无锡人。出生在北京的东四八条。父亲周大文，上世纪20年代奉系军阀进驻北京时，他曾出任北平市市长，和张学良是把兄弟。刘长瑜原名周长瑜，是周大文14个子女之一，母亲姓刘，是周大文的三太太，出身穷苦人家，周长瑜是母亲生的三个孩子中最小的，还是女孩，后来刘氏与周大文离婚。1961年，周长瑜19岁，进入中国戏曲学校实验剧团时，听从校长的意见，随母改姓刘。1993年，刘长瑜到台湾演出时，曾经拜访张学良，张学良也去看她的演出。
Born in 1942 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Born in dongsibaitiao, Beijing. His father, Zhou Dawen, was the mayor of Beiping city when the Fengxi warlord came to Beijing in the 1920s. He and Zhang Xueliang were brothers. Liu Changyu, formerly known as Zhou Changyu, is one of Zhou Dawen's 14 children. His mother's surname is Liu. She is Zhou Dawen's third wife and comes from a poor family. Zhou Changyu is the youngest of his mother's three children and a girl. Later, Liu divorced Zhou Dawen. In 1961, when Zhou Changyu was 19 years old and joined the experimental troupe of the Chinese opera school, he followed the headmaster's advice and changed his family name to Liu with his mother. In 1993, when Liu Changyu was performing in Taiwan, he once visited Zhang Xueliang, who also went to see her performance.
1951年至1959年在中国戏曲学校学习京剧旦行表演艺术。曾随筱翠花（即于连泉）、华慧麟、雪艳琴、赵桐珊等名家学艺。
From 1951 to 1959, he studied the performing arts of Beijing Opera Danxing at the Chinese opera school. He once studied with famous artists such as Xiao Cuihua (i.e. Yu Lianquan), Hua Huilin, Xue Yanqin and Zhao Tongshan.
1958年开始得到京剧大师荀慧生先生的亲授，攻青衣、花旦、刀马旦，尤擅长花旦，学会《辛安驿》《红楼二尤》等。
In 1958, he began to be taught by Peking Opera master Xun Huisheng. He was good at Qingyi, Huadan, daomadian, especially Huadan, and learned xin'anyi and Eryou in Red Mansions.
1959年至1962年在中国戏曲学校实验剧团当演员并在戏校兼课。后又得到雪艳琴、李玉茹、童芷苓、俞振飞及汉剧陈伯华、豫剧皇后陈素真的传艺指点。
From 1959 to 1962, he worked as an actor in the experimental troupe of the Chinese opera school and taught part-time in the school. Later, she received the instruction of Xue Yanqin, Li Yuru, Tong Zhiling, Yu Zhenfei, Chen Bohua of Han Opera and Chen Suzhen, Queen of Henan opera.
1962年后，任中国京剧院演员，中国京剧院三团演员，中国戏剧家协会常务理事，中华全国青年联合会常委。1994年组建中国青年京剧团，任名誉团长。
After 1962, he served as an actor of the Peking Opera Theater of China, an actor of the third troupe of the Peking Opera Theater of China, an executive director of the Chinese Dramatist Association, and a member of the Standing Committee of the all China Youth Federation. He was the honorary head of the Chinese Youth Peking Opera Troupe in 1994.
1996年2月当选中国京剧院常务副院长。
In February 1996, he was elected as the executive vice president of Beijing opera academy of China.
1998年12月当选第五届中国戏剧家协会副主席。
In December 1998, he was elected vice president of the Fifth China Dramatist Association.
2006年10月被潍坊学院中澳维也纳音乐学院特聘为名誉院长。是第四届、八届、九届、十届全国人大代表。第六、七届全国政协委员。
In October 2006, he was specially appointed as honorary president of China Australia Vienna Conservatory of music of Weifang University. He is a deputy to the fourth, eighth, ninth and Tenth National People's Congress. Member of the sixth and seventh CPPCC National Committee.
2007年4月15日，农历丁亥年二月廿八日：庆祝《天津日报》报业集团成立五周年京剧专场演出举行。
On April 15, 2007, February 28 of the year of Dinghai in the lunar calendar, a special performance of Beijing opera was held to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the founding of Tianjin Daily newspaper group.

2007年5月11日，农历丁亥年三月廿五日：第二届京剧学国际学术研讨会举行，研讨会由中国戏曲学院主办，李世济、刘秀荣、刘长瑜、叶少兰、李玉声等，学术界知名人士欧阳中石、廖奔等，以及来自美国和我国台湾、澳门地区的专家学者近150人与会。
May 11, 2007, March 25, 2007: the second International Symposium on Peking opera was held. The symposium was sponsored by the Chinese Academy of traditional opera. Nearly 150 people attended the symposium, including Li Shiji, Liu Xiurong, Liu Changyu, ye Shaolan, Li Yusheng, Ouyang Zhongshi, Liao Ben, and experts and scholars from the United States, Taiwan and Macao.
2007年6月8日，农历丁亥年四月廿三日：第八届中国艺术节倒计时150天专场演出——大型现代京剧交响乐演唱会举行，参演。

On September 28, 2007, at 19:00 on August 18, the lunar calendar year of Dinghai, Shenyang held the Modern Peking Opera "original singer concert" to celebrate the 11th National Day.
