他这是经过对当代男人们的深入观察和透析才有这样的喷发。诗成之后，王东深深地呼出一口长气，有一种卸去心中的负重之感。看着将要燃尽的烟蒂，想着:才在古战场的一番厮杀和凭吊。不仅对烟多了一丝好感。于是又写出了一首《烟》。算是《男人...英雄》的副产品。

此诗意境高深有种看破红尘，洒脱玩世之感。王东总想用相机抓拍到这样的镜头。终于有一次让他找到了相似的场景：黄昏江面，斗笠渔翁，逆光剪影，让人联想无穷。拍回来后不用后期处理，便起名《生活》发到网上。

王东的很多摄影作品也都很有诗意。《七星岩》 作品:顽石峻岩，树蒙霜寒，蓝天薄云，草木斑斓。一幅秋末冬初的景象，呈现眼前。构图上，虽左侧主体山峰偏重又是黝黑铁色，幸有白桦等前景留出些扶疏空旷，让人有透之感。山脉斜伸，连起另处山峰托起画面平衡。整个画面，冷调、凝重透出一种萧刹的秋气。让人想起欧阳修的《秋声赋》:“夫秋，又兵象也，于行用金，是谓天地之义气，常以肃杀而为心。”从而让人生出对天地的敬畏之意。 作品《映山红》则是另类风格:满山热烈，嫣红粉色，L型山道把达子香隔成坡上坡下。游来的羊群和右上角的黛绿树荫，使画面有了生命和灵气。远处的村落，让人感觉到山庄的宁静。画面中以达子香的粉红色和黄色山路都属暖调，更加趁出了白色羊群的突出。当人们把目光最后落到牧羊人时，发现他正底头或许查看家人的微信，画面由此生出了情趣。好的作品，就是能让读者从画面中看到故事。
