滕德康，男，号”东方鸟”，博士研究生，出生世代书香门弟，在易学、理学、医学、文学、书法践行与研究方面造诣颇深。近八十岁高龄的滕德康博士是易学、新理学学者、书法家、诗人、医学工作者，中华传统文化推广者。

Teng Dekang, male, known as "Oriental bird", is a doctoral student, born in a scholarly family. Teng Dekang brings Oriental birdsong to the West

据传，有人问毕加索：“你的画怎么看不懂啊？”毕加索说：“你听过鸟叫吗？”“听过”。“好听吗？”“好听。”

According to legend, Picasso was asked, "why can't you understand your paintings?" Picasso said, "have you ever heard a bird call?" "Yes.". "Does that sound good?" "Good to hear."

在中国也经常有人问我：“藤大师的书法我怎么也看不懂。”我常把当年毕加索“听鸟叫”的故事讲给他们听。

In China, people often ask me, "I can't understand master Teng's calligraphy." I often tell Picasso the story of "listening to birds" in those years.

恩师滕老先生出生于书香世家，祖父曾考中进士，他自小耳濡目染，受到传统文化的熏陶，尤其推崇理学思想，多年来一直醉心于对理学的研究，并著有《理学概论》、《理学宣言》、《新理经》等多篇优秀论著。滕老先生是程朱理学在中国当代的集大成者，是中国新理学的开创者，他深知天理人欲之关系，是当今社会不可多得的学者。

Mr. Teng was born in a scholarly family. His grandfather had been admitted to the imperial examination. He was influenced by the traditional culture since he was a child. He especially respected Neo Confucianism. He has been fascinated by the study of Neo Confucianism for many years. He has written many excellent works, such as introduction to Neo Confucianism, Manifesto of Neo Confucianism and new Confucian classics. Mr. Teng Lao is the master of Cheng Zhu Neo Confucianism in contemporary China and the founder of new Neo Confucianism in China. He is well aware of the relationship between heaven and human desire, and is a rare scholar in today's society.

滕老先生一生向善，热心公益，外取甚少，内修甚多。滕老先生先后在重庆、黑龙江、北京、四川、福建、广东、江苏等地为政府部门、研究机构、企事业单位讲学。他认为，理学作为中华文化的瑰宝，在历史的演进中具有着重要的作用，而当代的教育，更应该注重读书明理，让“至公无私”、“顺理而为”、“知行合一”等价值观念引导着人们去遵从伦理道德，做到父慈子孝、敬老爱幼，促进家庭和谐、社会和谐。

Mr. Teng devoted his whole life to the good. He was enthusiastic about public welfare. He took little from outside, and had a lot of internal cultivation. Mr. Teng has lectured for government departments, research institutions, enterprises and institutions in Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Beijing, Sichuan, Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangsu. He believes that Neo Confucianism, as a treasure of Chinese culture, plays an important role in the evolution of history, and contemporary education should pay more attention to reading and understanding, so that the values of "selflessness", "obedience to reason" and "unity of knowledge and action" guide people to comply with ethics and morality, achieve filial piety, respect for the elderly and love the young, and promote family harmony and social harmony.

滕老先生在书法方面也颇具造诣，其运笔苍劲有力神形足备，意大利米兰博物馆都收藏有他的书法作品。联合国官员和各国政要均收藏有藤

Mr. Teng is also very accomplished in calligraphy. His calligraphy works are collected in Milan Museum in Italy. Rattan has been collected by UN officials and politicians of various countries

滕老先生主张孝德传家、理行天下，几日前，他还曾为已故的母亲主办了一场百岁寿宴。寿宴中，滕老先生事必躬亲，追忆缅怀先人，他认为人生在世，应感恩父母养育之恩，并希望以自己的孝行感染身边的人。

Mr. Teng advocated that filial piety should be passed on to his family and run the world. A few days ago, he hosted a centenarian birthday party for his late mother. In the birthday banquet, Mr. Teng devoted himself to everything and recalled the memory of his ancestors. He thought that he should be grateful for the kindness of his parents and hoped to infect the people around him with his filial piety.

不仅对理学深有研究，滕老先生也乐耕于古玩收藏。他的青花瓷、寿山石雕、宣德炉、双耳青铜尊等藏品，无不映射着收藏者的涵养与学识。

Not only did he have a deep research on Neo Confucianism, but he also enjoyed collecting antiques. His collection of blue and white porcelain, Shoushan stone carving, xuandelu and Bronze Zun with two ears all reflect the self-cultivation and knowledge of the collectors.
