陈紫函 ，4月2日 出生于重庆市，祖籍湖北省武汉市黄陂区，中国内地女演员，毕业于北京电影学院表演系。

Chen Zihan, born in Chongqing on April 2, was born in Huangpi District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. She is an actress from mainland China. She graduated from the performing Department of Beijing Film Academy.

陈紫函出生于重庆市，从小学习民族舞，擅长书法绘画设计等才艺，学生时期一直就读于重庆市重点学校。中考时，以民族舞专业艺术尖子生的身份考入南开中学。高考前夕，陈紫函没有选择在舞蹈专业上继续深造，经过高考前短短三个月的英文集训，陈紫函便跨专业考入重庆大学涉外英文系。同年退学，以文化课女生第一名、专业课第二名的好成绩，考入北京电影学院表演系本科班；就此进入了影视圈。

Born in Chongqing, Chen Zihan studied folk dance as a child and was good at calligraphy, painting and design. As a student, he had been studying in key schools in Chongqing. In the middle school entrance examination, he was admitted to Nankai Middle School as a top student of national dance. On the eve of the college entrance examination, Chen Zihan did not choose to further study in dance major. After three months of intensive English training before the college entrance examination, Chen Zihan was admitted to the foreign English Department of Chongqing University. In the same year, she dropped out of school and entered the undergraduate class of performance Department of Beijing Film Academy with her first place in cultural courses and second place in professional courses.

1996年，因出演个人首部电视剧《东周列国·春秋篇》而正式进入演艺圈，她在剧中饰演了太子宫湦的婢女甄娥，这也是陈紫函首次出演古装剧。

1997年，主演了言情剧《侬本多情》。2003年，凭借古装武侠剧《倚天屠龙记》而受到关注。2006年，随着《白蛇传》、《神雕侠侣》等古装剧的播出被观众们所熟知。

2010年，凭借古装爱情剧《神话》与金莎获得CCTV8电视剧姐妹花奖  。同年获得年度风尚明星奖。2012年，主演的古装神话偶像剧《搜神记》打破历年暑期档收视率记录 。2014年，凭借仙侠剧《古剑奇谭》人气增高 。6月，特别出演民国奇幻剧《半妖倾城》，获得“古装女王”称号。同年，主演了神话剧《活佛济公》，她在剧中饰演了深情专一的胭脂。

2017年，陈紫函首次以制片人身份参与制作了古装玄幻剧《素手遮天》，成功从台前转向幕后，身兼演员，制片人双重身份。

2019年5月，出演古装神话剧《倩女幽魂》。9月29日，温情喜剧院线电影《平凡老爸》开机仪式暨新闻发布会在南昌举行，总导演李力持携演员吴孟达、胡杏儿、陈晓东、陈紫函、吴志雄、黄斯美Kelly等与各大媒体见面。

In May 2019, she appeared in the ancient costume myth drama "beautiful girl ghost". On September 29, the opening ceremony and press conference of the warm comedy movie "ordinary dad" was held in Nanchang. 2020年，主演王晶执导的电影新《倚天屠龙记》，并在片中饰演紫衫龙王。

In 2020, she starred in Wang Jing's new movie "killing the Dragon by relying on heaven", and played the purple shirt Dragon King in the film.

2020年8月1日，在世界文化艺术界联合会文化艺术家排行榜“每日一星”活动中荣获第一名。
