王力宏（Wang Leehom），华语流行乐男歌手、音乐制作人、演员、导演   ，拥有威廉姆斯大学和伯克利音乐学院双荣誉博士的学历。

Wang Leehom, a Chinese pop singer, music producer, actor and director, has double honorary doctorates from Williams University and Berkeley Conservatory of music.

1976年5月17日出生于美国纽约罗切斯特，祖籍中国浙江义乌。罗彻斯特位在五大湖区，珍尼西河（Genesee River）由南向北流经市区汇入安大略湖，其中有多处因冰河地形造成的落差，有丰富的水力资源，是纽约州第三大城市。

He was born in Rochester, New York, USA on May 17, 1976. Rochester is located in the Great Lakes area. The genese river flows from south to north through the urban area and flows into Lake Ontario. There are many drops due to Glacier topography and rich water resources. It is the third largest city in New York state.

义乌物产丰饶，红糖、金华火腿 、南枣被称为义乌“三大宝”；是全球最大的小商品集散中心，被联合国、世界银行等国际权威机构确定为世界第一大市场。

Yiwu is rich in natural resources. Brown sugar, Jinhua ham and jujube are known as Yiwu's "three treasures"; it is the world's largest small commodity distribution center, and has been determined as the world's largest market by the United Nations, the world bank and other international authorities.

王力宏的曾外祖父许凤藻是中国海军将领，奶奶许留芬毕业于清华大学经济系，担任过台北市商专会统科主任。王力宏的舅爷是史学家许倬云 。王力宏的父亲是王大中，母亲是李明姝，哥哥王力德是芝加哥大学博士，弟弟王力凯是麻省理工学院硕士。

Wang's great grandfather, Xu fengzao, was a general of the Chinese navy. His grandmother, Xu Liufen, graduated from the Department of economics of Tsinghua University and served as the director of the Department of statistics of Taipei chamber of Commerce. Wang Leehom's uncle is a historian Xu zhuoyun. Wang Leehom's father is Wang Dazhong, his mother is Li Mingshu, his brother Wang Lide is a doctor of Chicago University, and his younger brother Wang Likai is a master of Massachusetts Institute of technology.

1982年，王力宏开始学习小提琴，并坚持每天练琴6小时  。1984年，他开始学习钢琴。1988年6月，从Pittsford Elementary School毕业；9月，进入Pittsford Sutherland Middle School就读。

In 1982, Leehom Wang began to learn the violin and practiced it for six hours a day. In 1984, he began to learn the piano. He graduated from Pittsford elementary school in June 1988 and entered Pittsford Sutherland middle school in September 1988.

1989年，13岁的王力宏写出了个人第一首歌曲；同年加入Rochester Pilhaumonica Youth Orchestra， 成为该乐团的小提琴手；4月，参加学校音乐剧《Once Upon a Mattress》的演出。1990年4月，参加学校音乐剧《Bye-Bye Birdie》的演出 。

In 1989, Leehom Wang, 13, wrote his first song; in the same year, he joined Rochester pilhaumonica Youth Orchestra as a violinist; in April, he participated in the performance of the school musical "once upon a mattress". 1995年发行个人首张专辑《情敌贝多芬》，从而进入演艺圈  。1998年凭借专辑《公转自转》获得关注  ，并于次年获得第10届台湾金曲奖最佳国语男演唱人奖、最佳唱片制作人奖。2000年以动作电影《雷霆战警》涉足影坛。

2004年在专辑《心中的日月》中首创chinked-out曲风；同年凭借专辑《不可思议》获得第15届台湾金曲奖最佳唱片制作人奖  。

2006年凭借专辑《盖世英雄》获得第17届台湾金曲奖最佳国语男演唱人奖。2007年出演李安导演的剧情片《色戒》。2008年被美国网站GOLDSEA评选为“80位美国最有影响力的美籍亚洲人”之一。2010年自编自导自演爱情电影《恋爱通告》。

2013年出演好莱坞电影《骇客交锋》并签约CAA 。2017年主演音乐纪录片《火力全开》。2018年凭借青春爱情片获得第10届澳门国际电影节最佳男主角奖。2019年在第七届世界军人运动会开幕式上演唱主题歌《和平的薪火》。

演艺事业外，王力宏积极参与社会活动。2002年担任联合国儿童基金会国际青年大使。2008年担任北京奥林匹克运动会火炬手。2009年担任台北市环保大使。2010年担任上海世博会台北馆形象大使。2012年担任伦敦奥运会火炬手。2011年与前台湾领导人马英九在台湾清华大学进行对谈。2013年受邀在牛津大学进行一场以“认识华流”为主题的演讲。

Besides performing arts, Leehom Wang actively participated in social activities. In 2002, he served as the International Youth Ambassador of the United Nations Children's Fund. He was the torch bearer of Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. He was the environmental Ambassador of Taipei in 2009. In 2010, he served as the image ambassador of Taipei Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo. He was the torchbearer of the London Olympic Games in 2012. In 2011, he held talks with former Taiwan leader Ma Ying Jeou at Tsinghua University in Taiwan. In 2013, he was invited to give a speech at Oxford University with the theme of "understanding Hualiu".

2020年7月26日，在世界文化艺术界联合会“每日一星”评选活动中被评为“诚实守信星”。

On July 26, 2020, he was named "honest and trustworthy star" in the "one star of the day" selection activity of the World Federation of cultural and art circles.
