1955年6月9日，郭达出生在西安，一座拥有秦始皇陵、兵马俑、大雁塔、小雁塔、唐长安城大明宫遗址、汉长安城未央宫遗址、兴教寺塔；另有西安城墙、钟鼓楼、华清池、终南山、大唐芙蓉园、陕西历史博物馆、碑林等景点的千年古城。
Guo Da was born in Xi'an on June 9, 1955. 1974年，郭达考入上海戏剧学院，接受了3年专业的话剧表演训练，毕业后分配进了陕西省话剧院。在省话10年，他排演了30台话剧，获得了陕西省以及西北地区的表演奖。
