翁偶虹脸谱著作首次结集出版

　　翁偶虹手绘《混元盒》二锚神脸谱

　　著名的戏曲艺术家翁偶虹先生以戏曲编剧闻名于世，而他另外一项艺术成就，现在谈的人却不多了，即戏曲脸谱的绘制与研究。日前，由北京出版集团公司、北京出版社出版的翁偶虹《钩奇探古话脸谱》一书面世，这也是翁先生关于脸谱的著作首次结集出版。

　　“钩奇探古”岂止京昆

　　尽管现在不论舞台上还是商店里，京剧脸谱占据了多半江山，但脸谱的魅力，不止于京剧和昆曲脸谱。而翁偶虹所研究和描绘的脸谱，在时间上，纵览明清和民国时期；在地域上，横括了京、昆、晋、汉、滇、徽等各剧种的谱式。

　　翁偶虹在提到自己收藏脸谱的过程时曾写道：“往往因一谱未得，悒悒竟日。而远途归来，忘餐废寝，即就脑中所记，疾求入之笔墨者，又不知受尽友辈多少揶揄。呜呼，风雅何及奚囊，而呕心出血，罪苦可当之矣！”

　　据了解，翁偶虹曾以重金购买南府李太监珍藏的画有脸谱的昆曲单折封面，也曾辗转得到内廷供奉王翁亟待出售的秘本《钟球斋脸谱集》。而在得到清太监玉贵所遗《升平署十盗脸谱》后，为了解决自己心中疑惑，有心“偶遇”曾经与玉贵同台的陈子田，方知所以。

　　对脸谱艺术规律进行深入研究

　　现当代戏曲脸谱研究，有三人可称为“大家”：齐如山、刘曾复和翁偶虹。这三人特点也不尽相同。齐如山以“搜集类化”著称，刘曾复注重“舞台实用”，而翁偶虹先生则系统研究戏曲脸谱的艺术规律。第一次提出了脸谱的“五性”，并归纳了“十六种谱式”；进而提炼出使用颜色和线条，把谱式勾画在脸上的程序和方法。

　　尽管研究深入，但是翁偶虹先生的文字却不晦涩，对于一些脸谱的艺术规律用深入浅出的语言呈现于读者。例如他总结的“脸谱色彩口诀”：“红忠，紫孝，黑正，粉老，水白奸邪，油白狂傲；黄狠，灰贪，蓝勇，绿暴，神佛精灵，金银普照。”简明扼要，一目了然，备受戏迷追捧。

　　展示稀有脸谱

　　《钩奇探古话脸谱》一书中，汇集了许多现在已经鲜见于舞台的脸谱，而翁偶虹在这些脸谱上都有文字说明。不仅介绍脸谱含义、由来，也借此介绍该脸谱所出现的剧目，例如京剧《阴回朝》里闻太师的脸谱，昆曲《奈何天》里阙里侯的脸谱，等等。

　　此外，这部书还收纳了翁偶虹对杨小楼、郝寿臣脸谱艺术的分析与总结，也突显其学术价值和文献价值。
