2016年，“唐女郎”刘承羽携手杨紫琼、甄子丹出演功夫电影《卧虎藏龙：青冥宝剑》中“雪瓶”一角正式出道，随后又作为唯一一位受邀女星，联手李连杰、吴京、马云等众多功夫巨星共同出演电影短片《功守道》，凭借俏皮可爱与初生牛犊不怕虎的气场受到观众喜爱。此次在《唐人街探案2》中，刘承羽饰演的陈英是一名纽约警局的带枪女警，专业范十足，与王宝强和刘昊然共同合作，破获一起发生在纽约的连环杀人案，并与王宝强之间发生了一系列啼笑皆非的精彩互动。
