寇克让新书《书法没有秘密》在京发布
2018年1月27日,由北京联合出版公司主办的《书法没有秘密》新书发布会在北京图书大厦成功举办。本书作者书法家寇克让、北京联合出版公司常务副总编刘凯、中国农业大学博士生导师朱毅、文化学者兼资深策划人浦寅作为嘉宾出席了此次活动。
《书法没有秘密》全书共分八章,开篇为书法正名,名正则言顺,让人立刻了解所谈究竟为何物;其后是习字通规、临摹方法、碑帖流派,以及笔墨纸砚的选择要旨,分享作为书法家由临摹走向自由书写的心得与经验,和欲善其事的器用准备;最后,以书法史家的视角钩沉书史演变,新版着重探索唐以前(寇克让先生称之为书法古典期)的故人故事,特别是关于“草书之神”张旭的定位堪为寇先生近年研习书法与研读文献的心血结晶。本书以凝练真诚的文字,系统讲述了书法世界中少人提及,但却可以为多数读书人看清楚、听明白的人和事。

《书法没有秘密》时隔六年再版重出,既有修订,也有增补。新版典藏本采用精装裸脊包布,封面、书脊、内文首尾皆用微距视角呈现了作者寇克让先生的草书作品。内文有30余幅精选碑帖拓片贯穿,黑白二色的往复出现,简单素雅,同时又呼应了书法世界的大道至简。
本书以凝练真诚的文字,系统讲述了书法世界中少人提及,但却可以为多数读书人看清楚、听明白的人和事。作者寇克让从最早的预想书名谈到图书的典藏本再出,多角度解读了本书的价值。从书法专业到古文献研究,到再回归书法,直到现今《书法没有秘密》这一可称为研究成果的书籍问世,寇克让先生始终在贯彻“书法问题,书法解决”这一主张。

中国农业大学博士生导师朱毅与文化学者浦寅都对《书法没有秘密》给予了高度评价。在轻松惬意的对谈中,寇老师用如其文风一般接地气的回答畅谈了关于习字入门选体、启蒙年龄、执笔之姿等多个大众关心的问题。

选楷书入门是从古,也是从众;8岁不喜欢书法不代表18岁不喜欢,重要的不是严律而是创造接触书法的环境;而执笔就像用筷,从古至今,执笔姿势一直在随着桌椅的高矮而变,重要的是做到以舒适为宜。在寇克让平易近人的回答里,听众不由觉得书法很近,仿佛真的没有秘密。

而在互动环节中,借由朱毅教授带来的纸与笔,寇克让在现场以水代墨,向读者们展示了书法的灵活性与艺术性,浅谈了对现今丑书“宁丑勿媚”的观点。
在活动的尾声,寇老师说道,书法没有秘密,但书法有原则。这既是寇老师的学术态度,也是寇老师的处事原则。新版《书法没有秘密》毫无疑问是焕然一新的,但是这新并非为新而新,而是研习书法与研读文献两条道路的共同指向,是贯彻“书法问题书法解决”数年之久真切体会。
