六山一水三分田，辽宁历史源远流长，早在40—50万年以前，辽宁已是古人类活动的场所。新乐文化，红山文化，夏家店下层文化，形成了与“中原古文化”既有内在联系，又有自己特点的“北方古文化”区系。

河成哲，1965年01 月22日年出生在辽宁沈阳普通家庭，从小他就对文化艺术很感兴趣。上学之初，河成哲为自己选择感兴趣的书籍。尤其是连环画，如《三国演义》、《西游记》等精美的人物画像就深深地吸引着他。

在河成哲居住的环境，接受文化艺术熏陶比较多。那个时候在沈阳，有很多各种各样的铜钱，铜的、黄铜的、红铜的，大的小的，上面写有乾隆、雍正等清朝皇帝名字。小时候他就和伙伴玩古铜钱。河成哲觉得它们非常精美，收集从那个时候开始了。

1975年，河成哲考入大学历史系考古专业，来到东南沿海上大学。他如饥似渴地读书、学习，光书都是几皮箱，还利用广东有很多历史遗址的优势，工到历史古迹和遗址学习、搞研究。

三年大学生活，河成哲感受了中华民族历史的瑰丽与悲壮，从此结下了深深的历史情结。毕业后他回到了辽宁沈阳，在沈阳地区从事文物收集和管理工作，这给他后来的收藏创造了不可多得的契机。

河成哲说：“有一次，一位农民朋友跑到我这说了一个奇怪的现象，他的那块地渗水很快，铺上毡膜还是漏水，还往下塌陷。塌陷的地方还露出好多死人骨头。他们感到纳闷，这地方好几代都没有埋过人，为什么有死人骨头呢？凭我的专业我越感觉很兴奋，直觉告诉我，那里也许会出现奇迹，也许有古墓葬存在的可能。于是，我拿着相机立即赶赴现场，拍了大量的资料照片，并当即制定了保护措施，组织人力精心勘察。”

There are many dead people's bones exposed in the collapsed area. They wondered why there were bones of dead people in this place, which had not been buried for generations? The more excited I feel with my major, my intuition tells me that there may be miracles there, and there may be ancient tombs. So I rushed to the scene immediately with my camera, took a lot of data photos, and immediately formulated protection measures, organized human resources to carefully survey. "

1979年，经过几个月艰苦挖掘，终于发现了震惊中外史学界和考古界的距今3200多年的沈阳古墓葬。经资深专家科学推算，沈阳古墓葬比马王堆古墓的历史还早500多年。同年在他的提议下成立了沈阳文物管理研究所。

In 1979, after several months of hard excavation, we finally found Shenyang ancient tomb which shocked the Chinese and foreign scholars and archaeologists for more than 3200 years. 成功的喜悦使河成哲工作热情更高了，他和他的同事们吃干饿、喝凉水、穿雪地、走沼泽，踏遍了沈阳的荒滩野谷，又先后发现了许多古代文化遗址。

如今，河成哲已成为中国收藏家中的绞夜者，特别是他收藏有郑板桥、任伯年、张大千、齐白石、沈周、黄青等中国名家的几百幅名作真迹，还有中外油画、阿拉伯羊皮画、马来西亚树叶画、慈禧太后亲笔字画等非常稀罕的收藏品，令很多收藏爱好者羡慕不已。说起收藏，河成哲很感慨，这些年搞收藏，自己付出了多少汗水、泪水他自己也不清楚，多年的收藏之苦早已离他远去。每每看着自己的收藏，他是开心而满足的。

河成哲的办公室和展厅相连，办公室里各种奖杯、奖牌及证书令人目不暇接。他说：“收藏品就像亲人、自己的孩子一样，有感情了。没事的时候，我喜欢坐在藏品房里看这些收藏，和他们说说话。中国五千年的文明历史，古人是很伟大的。比如现在的一块砖，如果火候达不到，砖是不行的，何况古代的技术不如现在好，却能造出这么精美的工艺品。卖了是一种损失。这种琳琅满目的感觉就好像灿烂的文化艺术就在我眼前。学生们来会受到一定的教育，是一堂活的历史课，这里就是一个活的博物馆。”
