赵德文小时候，最喜欢跟在长辈身旁，听他们讲述赵姓在历史长河中不断繁衍变迁，兴衰更替的历史故事。

二十世纪六七十年代是爱国主义情怀高涨的时代，穿军装唱战歌是无数中华儿女梦寐以求的理想。赵德文从小便志愿加入中国人民解放军，志愿献身国防事业，全心全意为人民服务。

在部队当兵时，赵德文严守纪律，听从领导安排，坚决完成领导布置的任务，学会吃苦，学会奋斗，在军队大熔炉中磨炼意志，求真务实。因为才艺出众，多次参加部队文艺活动，获得过歌舞评选先进个人奖。

When serving in the army, Zhao Devon strictly abided by discipline, obeyed the leadership's arrangement, resolutely completed the tasks assigned by the leadership, learned to bear hardships, learned to struggle, honed his will in the melting pot of the army, and was realistic and pragmatic. Because of outstanding talent, he has participated in many military literary and art activities and won the advanced individual award of song and dance selection.

退伍的时候，赵德文在日记里写道：“来到军队后学到了很多东西。我也学会了理解其他人。我还不敢相信自己已经退伍了。我度过了一段很有意义的时间，感谢许多年来帮助过我的干部和战友们。”

When he retired, Zhao wrote in his diary: "I learned a lot when I came to the army. I also learned to understand other people. I can't believe I've retired. I have spent a very meaningful time, and I thank the cadres and comrades in arms who have helped me for many years. "

复原后的赵德文并没有让自己闲下来，积极进行社会休闲舞组织工作，多次参加省市休闲舞比赛并获得良好成绩。

After recovery, Zhao Devon did not let himself idle down and actively organized social leisure dance. He participated in many provincial and municipal leisure dance competitions and achieved good results.

2020年四月，在亚洲演艺协会秘书长李娜娜的引荐下，加入世界文化艺术界联合会，成为亚洲演艺协会会员。
